Auburn, NH's Local Foundation Repair & Radon Mitigation Contractor

The owner of a commercial building in Auburn, New Hampshire, had noticed some cracking on their foundation wall in the basement. Over the past couple of years, they have seen the crack get larger. They decided to call EFS for a free inspection of their foundation. Our Design Specialist John Prince met with the owner and talked to them about their concerns. After their talk, John then inspected the foundation wall and determined that the foundation wall was bowing inward and that had caused the foundation wall to crack. John recommended installing 5 PowerBraces onto the foundation wall. 

Our Installation Team led by Neal Foley began by measuring out where each of the 5 PowerBraces will be installed. After marking where they will be installed the team then installed all 5 PowerBraces on the foundation wall to stabilize the foundation wall. Once the PBs have been installed over the years we will tighten the top bracket to slowly straighten the wall.

The owners of the building were very pleased with the results of the project. 

This homeowner in Auburn, New Hampshire, was the original owner of the home that was built in 2005. A few months ago, the homeowner noticed a crack forming on the foundation wall. Over the next few months, they kept a close eye on the crack and saw that over a short amount of time, the crack had grown to almost twice the size. They were concerned that something bad could happen if they allowed this to continue without it being looked at. They decided to call EFS for a free inspection of their basement. Our Design Specialist Jason Vachon met with the homeowners and inspected the basement to find that the crack on the foundation wall was because the wall was shifting. After his inspection, Jason recommends installing 3 Geolocks on the foundation wall and installing FlexiSpan over the crack on the wall. 

Our Installation Team led by Eric Witham began by creating a trench in the yard 10' away from the foundation wall where the crack was found. Once the trench was about 6' deep the team returned to the basement and measured where they would install the 3 Geolocks. We separated the Geolocks by 3-4 feet to capture and stabilize the entire wall. We sent galvanized steel from inside the basement through the foundation wall and the ground to the trench in the yard. Once all three rods were in the trench the team then used galvanized plates on both sides of the rod and tightened them until they were tight. After the rods were tightened we backfilled the trench and installed the FlexiSpan over the crack. This will prevent water from entering the basement. 

The homeowner was very pleased with the results of the project. 

A homeowner in Auburn, New Hampshire, had work done by EFS in 2021. In 2021 our team installed Geolocks to the rear of the garage to stabilize the foundation. Our team had also recommended using PolyLevel to fill any void under the garage slab to prevent movement, but the homeowners opted against it. Now two years since our team installed the Geolocks in the garage the homeowners have noticed a shift in the garage. The homeowner decided to call EFS to come out for a new inspection. Our Design Specialist/ Project Manager Nate looked at the garage and recommended the same thing that was recommended in 2021: to fill the void and level the garage slab using PolyLevel. 

Our production team installed PolyLevel under the slab in the garage. They drilled port holes into the garage slab and then injected PolyLevel through the port hole to fill the void and level the garage slab. 

The homeowners were kicking themselves for not having the PolyLevel installed the first time around but they were delighted with the installation by EFS and the crew. The production team installed the PolyLevel in the garage within one day and they were able to park their car in the garage that night. 

A homeowner in Auburn, New Hampshire, had lived in this home since 2005 and started noticing in 2021 that the garage slab is sinking. Our design specialist Michael looked at the garage floor and recommended using PolyLevel to lift and level the sunk part of the slab. 

Our production team drilled 1/2" port holes in a grid pattern every couple of feet to ensure we get a consistent lift around the garage slab. The team worked their way around to each port hole filling them until they get the lift they desired to level the slab.

The team lifted and leveled the sinking slab, and made sure the homeowner was happy with the project. 

Michael L. of Auburn, New Hampshire had some concerns with cracking and bowing of the back wall of his garage. He had reached out to Team Engineering to see if they could test the structural integrity of their foundation. Team Engineering conducted a test and found that "Lateral earth pressures are likely pushing the rear garage foundation wall out to the rear.". After the conclusion of Team Engineering's test, they referred Michael to Erickson Foundation Solutions as a trusted company for repair. Michael reached out to Erickson Foundation Solutions for a free inspection. 

Design Specialist Paul Magowan came out to the home and inspected the garage and the basement. He confirmed what Team Engineering had already found. Paul recommended that Michael have Geolock Wall Anchors installed to help straighten out the bow in the foundation but also strengthen the foundation wall itself.  

Crew Lead Ed Nadreau and his team of Installation Specialists arrived at the home and began installing 8 Geolock Wall Anchors to the foundation of the garage. 

Homeowner Charlie N. of Auburn, NH had a concrete patio around his pool that was first installed back in the late 1990's. Around 2013, Charlie started to see noticeable cracks and pooling water in various sections. By 2020, the concrete patio had several large cracks and sections that were unlevel. All this uneven concrete was leading to tripping and stubbed toes, as well as being generally unsightly. The problem was not going to improve on it's own, and Charlie decided to seek repair options. 

The first consideration for him was to rip out and replace. The pool itself was 20' x 40', and so the amount of demolition and new concrete needed for this type of project was substantial, and costly. This type of fix would have been very labor intensive and taken at least a week to complete. 

Charlie then also reached out to Erickson Foundation Solutions regarding PolyLevel as a possible solution. PolyLevel is a polymer foam which does not disrupt the surface of the concrete or it's surroundings, and simply lifts the uneven concrete by filling the voids beneath it. Installation of PolyLevel is generally a single day process and the concrete can be walked on within 30 minutes after installation. 

Repairing the concrete with PolyLevel was going to save Charlie thousands of dollars, and so he chose this solution.
