Foundation Repair & Radon Mitigation Company Servicing Merrimack County, NH

Three months ago Mark and Shirley Casey purchased a new home in Pittsfield, NH. The home was built in 2002. Since they moved in they had been thinking of doing a radon test in fear that the air wasn't clean and healthy.

After speaking with a few different companies they gave Erickson Foundation Supportworks a call and had a radon test done in their house. The radon levels in their house tested at 7.0 pCi/l. A comfortable level for radon is under 4.0 pCi/l. Erickson advised that they should install a Radon Mitigation System in their home to bring down the radon levels to as low as possible. 

Mark and Shirley decided that they wanted to go forward with having Erickson Foundation Supportworks install a Radon Mitigation System. Paul Magowan designed the system and Scott Crandall led the team that installed the Radon Mitigation System in Mark and Shirley's home. Mark and Shirley were happy with the quality and honesty of the crew. 

Kevin O. knew when he bought his home in Bow, NH that there were some concerns with some cracks in the garage foundation walls and floor. Over the years the cracks grew slightly, and Kevin decided it was time to finally work towards finding a solution. He really wanted for his property to hold it's value, and sealing cracks and having a professional take a look at it for him would provide peace of mind.

Design specialist, Kyle Jamerson, inspected the cracks in the walls and floors, and it was determined there was not much movement or settlement action. With that in mind, the ideal, immediate solution was to seal the cracks with a polymer foam injection and NexusPro sealant. 

However, in order to keep an eye on the possibility of settlement under the foundation, our production team also installed crack monitors. These monitors will allow Kevin to notice if there is indeed any movement or settlement in his garage foundation. 

With the project completed, Kevin has peace of mind that his home is safe and stable.

This homeowner in Hooksett, New Hampshire, was looking for someone to come and assist with a sagging floor. Design Specialist David Cormier came to the home and proposed that the homeowners have Smart Jacks installed in their crawlspace. Crew Lead Jon Provost and his team came to the home and installed the Smart Jacks into the crawl space. The Smart Jacks support the interior of the home to push up the part of the floor that was sagging.

Steven W. in Epsom, New Hampshire had an issue where his attached garage had been shifting for the past couple of years. It has been getting worse and worse over the years and finally, he knew he needed to fix the problem before things got even worse and caused more damage to the home.

Design Specialist Paul Magowan concluded that the area wasn't draining properly and which led to soils shifting, ultimately causing the garage to shift. Paul proposed to the homeowner an effective drainage system, as well as a wall rebuild since the existing wall had become too unstable.

Crew Lead Nick Carelli and his team completed the drainage system and the wall rebuild, along with Matt Erickson Sr., who is our head mason. 

A commercial property owned by Ayer Goss Gas Co. was experiencing settling on some of their concrete slabs. It had gotten to the point where they wanted a solution to their problem. 

Design Specialist Paul Magowan came to the property and inspected the concrete. After looking at the whole property Paul recommended using Nexus Pro and Crack Seal to mend their concrete slabs.

Scott Crandall and his team went to the commercial property and fixed the concrete slabs using Nexus Pro and Crack Seal. 

This homeowner in Hooksett, New Hampshire was experiencing issues with the floor in their finished basement. The tile that they had installed was starting to crack because of the movement of the concrete slab underneath. Design Specialist Paul Magowan came to the home and examined the basement area and confirmed that the concrete underneath had shifted and that is what causes a bump in the floor that caused the tile to crack. 

Crew Lead Chris Hanulec and his crew came to the home and installed some SmartJacks to stabilize the area. They also sealed the cracks in the concrete and injected PolyLevel to fill any voids under the concrete. 

This homeowner in Pembroke, New Hampshire was experiencing unlevel floors in their kitchen. The sloping floors caused some of their backsplash and floors to become warped and so they wanted to add extra support underneath from the basement. Design Specialist Jason came out to the home and examined the homeowner's concerns. Jason proposed that SmartJacks be installed in the basement under the kitchen at key support points.

Crew Lead Scott Crandall and his team were scheduled and installed 3 SmartJacks underneath the kitchen to stabilize the floor.

The homeowners were very pleased with the results of the project. They finally have level floors in their kitchen and peace of mind that the tiles up above will not shift or crack.

Evan P. of Concord, New Hampshire was curious about radon levels in his home. He called Erickson Foundation Solutions to see if we could set up an appointment to come out to his home. The home was tested with a CRM machine by Design Specialist Paul Magowan. The results of the test came back at 3.8 pCi/L.

Evan was impressed by how quick and easy each step of the process was. 

Homeowner Dale had lived in his home for over 24 years, though the home itself was built in 1976. The original homeowner had installed a drain of some kind in the floor of the garage slab, and so over 50 years water was flowing into this drain and seemingly straight into the soil beneath it. When Dale purchased the home, he noticed the drain and the fact that the slab had shifted a bit. However, it wasn't a must fix for him at the time. In recent years, the slab had begun to crack and shift more and more, and Dale knew it was time to address the issue before things got worse. In some places near cracks, there was settlement of up to 3/4 of an inch. Replacing an entire garage slab could be costly, and so he sought out other options. His ultimate goal afterwards was to also have the surface painted to brighten up the garage space.

Design specialist Paul Magowan met with Dale and inspected the garage slab. Paul concluded PolyLevel would be an appropriate solution for the problem, and proposed the fix and costs involved. Dale was thrilled to learn he would not need to replace the slab entirely, and hired Erickson Foundation Solutions to install the PolyLevel to fill the voids beneath the slab, and lift and stabilize his garage floor. 

Crew lead Nick Melo and his team were able to lift and stabilize the concrete garage slab, as well as seal on the cracks with NexusPro, all in a single day. Dale was able to use and even drive his vehicle back into the garage space within 30 minutes of job completion. The PolyLevel solution saved Dale time and money, and now he can repaint the garage floor and have peace of mind that it is stabilized and will likely no longer shift or crack.

Design Specialist Jason Love came to both of the homes and proposed a system that is unique to each of their homes.

Signe L. of Newbury, New Hampshire hasn't liked the way her garage floor looked for the past 3 years. Signe wanted to restore the garage floor so that they can create a larger recycling area.  Signe called Erickson Foundation Solutions to see if they had a solution to her problem.

Design Specialist Paul Magowan came to the home and looked at the garage floor and proposed that Signe have the EFS team install Resurface Pro onto their garage floor.

David S. of Contoocook, New Hampshire was experiencing an issue where the free-standing wall that supports the porch was bowing and was becoming a structural hazard. David decided to call Erickson Foundation Solution to see if someone could come out and examine the free-standing wall. David would like to be able to use his sunroom which is located off of the porch. 

Design Specialist Michael LaMalfa came to the home and suggested a solution to David. The solution was tearing down the old free-standing wall and creating a new one. 

Crew Lead Nick Carelli and his team came to the home and tore down and rebuilt the free-standing wall to stabilize the porch and sunroom above. 

Robert R. of Concord, New Hampshire has been experiencing cracking and unlevel floors in his garage. The floors are causing a tripping hazard. In fact, Robert's wife has tripped several times. Robert called Erickson Foundation Solutions to see if someone could come and suggest a repair solution. 

Design Specialist Paul Magowan came to the home and inspected the garage. He found that all the crack was in the first 4 feet of the garage door. He recommended cutting out that 4-foot section of the garage slab and pouring a new one. Robert requested if Erickson could find a way to make the water from the gutters travel through an underground drainage system. 

Crew Lead Nick Melo and his team came to Robert's home. Nick cut out the section of the garage that had the cracks in it. After, they brought in some dirt and made the area level. Then they poured the new slab and made sure it was level. 

While the new concrete slab was drying a second team led by Spencer Ladd came to the home to rework the gutter system. The team connected a pipe to the gutters and dug a trench for the new pipe. The trench was dug away from the home to ensure water wouldn't go under the foundation. 

Alan R. of Newbury, New Hampshire had some cracks in his garage that looked like they were getting worse over time. He decided to call Erickson Foundation Solutions to see if they could come and diagnose a problem. 

Design Specialist David Cormier came to the home and inspected the garage. He found that there is a frost heave on the north side of his garage. This frost heave is causing the garage to crack in two places. The frost heave has created some structural issues for the garage. These issues need to be addressed if Alan doesn't want a complete collapse of his garage.

This homeowner in Wilmot, New Hampshire has been living in his home for 30 years. In the last 20 years, he has been dealing with pooling water in his garage. He is retired now and would like to fix the problem. He decided to call Erickson Foundation Solutions for a free inspection. 

Design Specialist Jason Vachon arrived at the home and inspected the garage to see what was causing the water to pool. Jason found that the garage slab had settled about 1-1/4 Inches. The settlement is causing the water to enter the garage and pool. Jason recommended that the homeowners have PolyLevel injected under the slab to lift it back to level. Additionally, Jason proposed that EFS can seal the cracks in the garage with NexusPro.

This homeowner in Canterbury, New Hampshire has been putting up tarps in the front of their home to try and stop water from entering their basement. During Michael's exterior inspection he had determined that there is a high water table around the home. This homeowner in Hooksett, New Hampshire has a walkway/front stoop that is cracked and sinking. The insurance company is requiring that the homeowners fix it because it is a safety hazard. The homeowner decided to call EFS for a free inspection.

In Hopkinton, New Hampshire, The First Congregational Church of Hopkinton NH is experiencing rusted temp supports in the basement. The church members would like to feel safe as they sit and listen to the pastor and sing as a group. The church called Erickson Foundation Solutions for a free inspection. 

Design Specialist Michael LaMalfa inspected the basement of the church. He found some rusty temporary posts and some blocks that had sunk. Michael recommended installing 20 SmartJacks into the basement of the church.

Crew Lead Chris Tremblay and his crew installed 20 SmartJacks in the church's basement. For added support 30' of Supplemental Beam was installed to bridge some of the SmartJacks together. 

The church members can now listen to the pastor and sing while feeling safe. 

In Chichester, New Hampshire, a homeowner has experienced cracking in their garage for the past 7 years. The cracks have been getting worse and worse over the years. The homeowners are continuing to work on home improvement projects. They wanted a company to come out in the spring to fix the concrete in their garage. They had reached out to a couple of companies and only a couple could do an installation in the spring. They had a couple of companies inspect their home, and most of the companies recommended replacing the entire garage floor. When EFS came to their home for the inspection, they were surprised by the proposal. The EFS Design Specialist recommended installing PolyLevel and replacing a crumbled section of concrete.

In springtime, the EFS crew installed the PolyLevel and poured new concrete to repair a small section that had crumbled over the years prior. 

A homeowner in New London, New Hampshire, has been living in their home for 6 months. After all of the snow melted this spring the homeowner noticed on the patio near their sunroom was sinking toward the sunroom. They decided to call EFS for a free inspection. A Design Specialist inspected the back of the home. During the inspection, the Design Specialist noticed that the sunroom seemed to be sinking. The specialist took a closer look using some measurements. They confirmed that the sunroom was sinking and recommended EZ Post. 

The crew installed 5 EZ Post onto the Sunroom to prevent it from sinking any more. 

A homeowner that lived in their forever home in Concord, New Hampshire, was experiencing settlement in their foundation. The back of their property had a severe slope pitching away from the house.  Our design specialist examined the property and inside the house and discovered that the slope at the back of the home had caused the settlement, as the soil around the home gradually slid away.

The EFS production crew installed Push Piers at the back of the home to address this settlement concern. The Push Piers effectively went down into the ground beneath the foundation walls until they reached depths with stable soils. The piers were then able to slightly lift and permanently stabilize the home. The homeowner was relieved that their forever home was repaired and warrantied for 25 years against any further settlement. 

A homeowner in Epsom, New Hampshire, tested their home for radon. Our design specialist thoroughly inspected the home. The specialist had found high radon levels and high moisture levels in the basement. The specialist recommended installing a radon mitigation system and a CleanSpace Encapsulation system in the basement.

A homeowner in Concord, New Hampshire, had concerns about the floors of their home sloping in their 100-year-old home. Over the past couple of years, the sloping of the floors had gotten worse each year. The homeowner would like to take care of this issue now. Our design specialist examined the floors of the home. They found significant sagging on the main floor of the home. In some areas, the floor had sloped up to 3". 

Our production team installed 7 SmartJacks into the basement of the home. The team first chipped out the concrete under where each SmartJack are going to be placed. The team used a jackhammer to break up the slab so that they can pour a new footing for the SmartJacks. The team chips out a 24" x 24" x 18" hole to install rebar and concrete to create a base for the SmartJack to rest on. After the base or footing is cured, the team set the SmartJack on top of the footing and secured it to the beam above. After all the SmartJacks are secured to the beam, the team then has to wait for an inspector to verify that the SmartJacks are installed to the building department's standards. Once the inspector verified that the SmartJack are installed to code, the team poured concrete over the SmartJack footing to secure them in place. 

A funeral home in New London, New Hampshire, had the main water line break a few years ago. The water ended up undermining their foundation wall. The owner of the funeral home would like to have someone look at their stone foundation. Our design specialist examined the foundation wall and recommended installing a Masonry Wall in place of the undermined section of the foundation. 

Our production team began by exposing the foundation wall. The team poured a new footing and began laying their leads. The team continued laying masonry blocks until they reached the joist from the main floor. 

The owner of a funeral home in New London, New Hampshire, had a water pipe burst causing some undermining of part of their foundation wall. During the appointment with our design specialist about the foundation wall, the owner also wanted PolyLevel Wall Restoration installed into the basement. The owner had EFS come and install a new section of a masonry wall. Then following the installation of the masonry wall, EFS would come and spray the poly. 

Our production team free sprayed the polymer foam around the perimeter of the crawlspace/basement. The PolyLevel Wall Restoration when sprayed, will expand to several times its size to allow it to expand into any cracks and seal them.  This helps prevent erosion or crumbling of the stone based wall.

This homeowner in Pembroke, New Hampshire, had an issue where their floors were sloping and sagging. The homeowner lives in an 1860s home with an attached barn. The They plan to remodel some of the main floors in the future, so they wanted the floor to be stable and level. Our design specialist examined the home and recommended installing SmartJacks in the basement. 

The team first installed temporary posts around the basement, then removed all of the old posts and started prepping for the new supports. Our production team then installed a secure footing and sturdy SmartJack under the main beam. With the floor system properly supported, the homeowner knows they can remodel without worrying about extra weight or sagging floors.

A homeowner in Concord, New Hampshire, was experiencing some settlement in their home. The back of their home had a significant slope. The residence had a wooden retaining wall that held dirt up for a walkway behind the home. Our design specialist Nate assessed the home inside in out. Nate found 2" of settlement toward the back of the home. In addition to the home settling, Nate worried about an elevated deck on the back of the home is in danger of settling as well. Nate recommended installing a bigger concrete retaining wall that will hold the soil better than the wooden one. Nate planned to add Helical anchors and EZ posts to help secure the supports of the deck. 

Our production team led by Nick C. began the project by removing the old retaining wall and several feet of dirt so they could pour a footing for the new retaining wall. Once the dirt was removed, the team created a form to pour concrete into. The team poured the footing and let it cure. Following the footing being cured, the team set up additional forms to create the retaining wall. The team called in a concrete truck to fill the forms with concrete. The team had set up holes in the wall to allow for the helical anchors to attach to the EZ posts. After the retaining wall is cured, the team attached the Helical anchors to the EZ post. 

The team was able to secure the home's foundation and prevent further settlement of the home and porch. 

A homeowner in Dunbarton, New Hampshire, had concerns about the supports in their crawlspace. The home is owned by an older woman but her daughter is leading the charge to have the supports in the crawlspace fixed. The daughter will be inheriting the home at some point so she wanted the home to be in the best condition possible. Our design specialist Chris met with the mother and daughter and Chris examined the floors and the supports in the crawlspace. The supports in the crawlspace of this 1930s home were a mix of wooden posts and stacked cinder block columns. Chris recommended installing new supports that are set in the ground and secured to the beams above and a high-strength dehumidifier to manage the moisture in the crawlspace. 

Our production team led by Ed N. first started by setting up temporary supports in the crawlspace so that when they remove the old supports the beams won't shift. After the team set up the temporary posts, they began prepping the bases for the posts. The team created flat footings where the base of the SmartJack will be set in. To make sure the footing is stable the team used engineered fill. Then the team sets the SmartJack over the fill and secures it to the beam above or to a Supplemental Beam. After the team installed all of the SmartJacks they then installed the SaniDry Sedona into the crawlspace to control the moisture in the basement. 

A homeowner in Contoocook, New Hampshire, had lived in their home for the past 10 years. They planned to remodel their garage but needed to make sure the slab can be fixed. The homeowners were told by other contractors that they would need to pour a brand new slab. The homeowners then reached out to EFS to see if we could find them a repair. Our design specialist Victor recommended installing PolyLevel and NexusPro to lift, level, and seal the slab in the garage. 

Our production team first started by drilling port holes in a grid pattern into the slab. The port holes gave the team a space to inject PolyLevel under the concrete. The team injected the PolyLevel under the slab to precisely lift and level the concrete. After they lifted and leveled the slab the team then started sealing the cracks with NexusPro. They used a motorized caulking gun to squeeze NexusPro into all of the cracks. To make sure the cracks are sealed the team used a set of metal spoons to push the NexusPro deep into the cracks and to leave a smooth finish. 

The homeowner was very happy with the results of the project. They can finally remodel their garage like they wanted to. 

A homeowner in Epsom, New Hampshire, had purchased their home in 1973. When they first purchased the home they noticed a slight crack in the foundation. The homeowners didn't think anything of it until they noticed the wall periodically leaking onto the basement floor. They attempted to fix the issue by installing a drain to collect all of the water. The drain wasn't a permanent fix but it did help in the short term until they noticed the wall started to lean inward more every year. Our design specialist Tom recommended installing a solution to address both things. Tom first recommended installing Geolocks on the foundation wall to straighten it, the second was to install a perimeter drainage system and CleanSpace to the back wall to collect all of the water coming into the basement. 

Our production team began the project by addressing the bowing foundation wall. The team started by digging a trench parallel to the bowing wall. The team used an excavator to dig a trench 10' away from the wall so we can use our Geolocks. After the trench was dug, the team drilled 8 small holes into the foundation walls. These small holes are so our Geolock rods can go through the wall, through the soil, and into the trench. The team then attached Geolock Plates against the foundation wall and the inner wall of the trench. After both ends were secured the team used a power drill to tighten the Geolocks to pull them together. The Geolocks will get tighter and begin to pull the wall until straight. After the team straightened the wall, the team moved on to installing the waterproofing system. The team first chipped out the concrete at the base of the wall. WaterGuard was installed in a trench at the base of the wall to collect any water that trickled down that wall. The WaterGuard led to a sump pump that was installed in the corner of the basement. After the UltraSump and WaterGuard were set up, the team then began installing the CleanSpace over the Geolocks and the rest of the wall. The team began by installing CleanSpace at the top of the wall. They sealed the top and started to move down the wall. To make sure the Geolocks could still be adjusted the team left part of the Geolock exposed. When the team was near the bottom of the wall they tied in the CleanSpace to the WaterGuard so any water coming down the wall would enter into the perimeter drainage system. After the CleanSpace and the perimeter drainage system were tied in together the team poured crushed stone and concrete over the WaterGuard and around the basin of the UltraSump. As the concrete was curing the team plumbed the UltraSump outside and connected an IceGuard to the exterior drainage line. The IceGuard will prevent the drainage line from freezing and causing a backup of water back into the basement. 

The homeowner was very happy with the results of the project. They don't have to worry about their foundation wall bowing or water collecting in their basement anymore. 

A homeowner in Concord, New Hampshire, had concerns with water coming into their basement. They have lived in their home for 52 years and in the last 3 years have noticed water coming into their basement. They decided to call EFS for a free inspection and our design specialist recommended installing an UltraSump, WaterGuard, and IceGuard to stop water from collecting in the basement. 

Our production team began by chipping concrete in the basement where the water was entering. The team chipped out a basin for the sump pump and a space for the WaterGuard to be installed. After the team chipped out the concrete, the team began removing dirt for the sump pump basin. After the basin was dug, the team set the UltraSump in the basin and plumbed the drainage outside. The team continued and installed the 8 feet of WaterGuard to the left of the UltraSump. After all of the WaterGuard was installed the team started to lay concrete over the WaterGuard and around the UltraSump. While the concrete was curing the team installed an IceGuard over the drainage line outside the home to protect the drainage line from backing up water back into the basement. Once the concrete cured the job was complete. 

The homeowner was happy that Erickson was able to stop the water from collecting in their basement. 

A homeowner in Franklin, New Hampshire, had purchased their home 2 years ago knowing the home had some foundation issues. The homeowners weren't aware of how bad the foundation was. The home resides on the side of a large pond and the foundation seems to be sliding toward the pond. The homeowner found themselves constantly worrying about their foundation. They decided to call EFS for a free inspection. It turned out that the foundation wall closest to the water was about to fail. Our design specialist recommended installing a Masonry wall on the corner closest to the pond, as well as a small Auxiliary Wall with a frost wall. 

Before the production team arrived the homeowner had to remove the porch from the back of the home to give the crew access to the foundation of the home. After the homeowner gave EFS the all-clear that the porch was removed our team was cleared to start the project. The team first began by removing the failing foundation wall and supporting it with temporary posts. After the foundation wall was removed, the team set up forms to create an auxiliary wall to add support to the left side of the foundation. when they were ready to pour the concrete in the form for the auxiliary wall they also poured a concrete footing for the Masonry wall. After the footing was set, the team then began installing the Masonry wall under the corner of the foundation. The team laid blocks until they reached the bottom of the floor joist of the first floor. After the Auxiliary was set our Poly Crew arrived and sprayed frost mitigation to the base of the auxiliary wall. The last step for the crew was to backfill all of the dirt to grade. 

The homeowner was very happy with the job. They are relieved that they don't have to worry about the foundation of their home anymore. 

A homeowner in Concord, New Hampshire, had purchased their home a year ago and then noticed a crack in the foundation wall in the basement. After they purchased the home the homeowners forgot about the crack until one rain storm flooded their basement. After they cleaned up their basement the homeowner decided they needed to have the crack in their foundation repaired. Our design specialist recommended installing a Crack Injection, NexusPro, and a SaniDry into the basement to prevent water from entering the basement. 

Our production team began by installing Crack Injection to the crack on the foundation wall. They used injection foam and a sealant to seal the crack in the basement. After the foundation crack was sealed the team sealed any other small cracks with NexusPro. After all of the other cracks were sealed the team installed a SaniDry dehumidifier in the basement to control the humidity in the basement. 

The homeowner was happy that they no longer have to worry about water entering their basement anymore. 

A homeowner in Bow, New Hampshire, purchased their home in 2020, and they first noticed their wall bowing in 2021. Since they noticed the wall bowing in 2021 they've seen the wall getting worse and worse over the next year. They decided to call EFS for a free inspection, and our design specialist found that the foundation wall was deflecting an inch. Our design specialist recommended installing Geolocks to stabilize the wall, NexusPro, and SealantPro to seal the cracks in the garage slab. 

Our production team began by digging a trench parallel to the foundation wall. The trench was dug 10 feet away from the foundation and will be used to hold the Geolock Wall Anchors. The team dug the trench by using an excavator. The trench was the length of the wall so the team could install the 7 Geolocks to the foundation wall. After the trench was dug the team moved inside to begin drilling holes for each Geolock to be installed. The team measured out where each of the 7 Geolocks will be installed and drilled a corresponding hole where the team can send the rod through the wall and into the trench using an impact gun. After each rod was sent through to the trench, the team attached Geolock Plates to each end of the rod. Once secured the team tightened the rods until they were all under pressure. They then tighten each rod a little until the wall is straightened and stabilized. After the Geolocks were installed the team then moved on to installing the NexusPro and SealantPro to seal the cracks in the garage. The team repaired a handful of small cracks in the garage using NexusPro and SealantPro. 

The homeowner was very pleased with the results of the project. They no longer have to worry about the foundation wall bowing anymore.

A homeowner in Franklin, New Hampshire, had recently purchased their early 1900s home 6 months ago. Some of the floors in the home were sagging and needed to be lifted and leveled. The homeowner decided to call EFS for a free inspection. Our design specialist recommended installing SmartJacks into the crawlspace to lift and level the floors. 

Our production team entered the crawlspace of the home, which was between 2'-3-1/2' feet tall. The crew set up our SmartJacks with big plates so they could support the floor above. The team used supplemental beams to bridge the gap between floor joists and to make sure the floor was lifted up as a whole. The SmartJacks were fitted with an adjustable top which allowed us to lift up the floor at any point. 

The homeowner was pleased with the results of the project. 

A homeowner in Webster, New Hampshire recently inherited their father's home. Their father had lived in the home for 50 years and they noticed one of the foundation walls in the basement had cracks and seemed to be leaning inward. The homeowner decided to call EFS for a free inspection of their foundation wall. Our design specialist recommended installing PowerBraces to the interior foundation wall to add support to the bowing wall. 

Our production team began by measuring out where each of the 3 PowerBraces will be placed against the wall. Our team evenly spread out each PowerBrace to then installed an L bracket where the floor meets the wall. After the team installed the L brackets they then began to install the upper brackets of the PowerBrace. Depending which way the floor joists were traveling will determine which floor joist bracket our team will use. Once the correct bracket was installed in the joists the team then installed the PowerBrace itself to the bowing foundation wall. Once the PowerBrace was mounted against the wall, the team then used the top bracket to tighten and create a force against the wall to prevent the wall from further bowing. 

The homeowner was happy with the results of the project. They no longer have to worry about that bowing foundation wall. 

A homeowner in Canterbury, New Hampshire, had seen in their newspaper that a company fixes crawlspaces in their area. They have lived in an 18th-century home for the past 35 years. They have wanted to improve the conditions of their crawlspace since they purchased their home, now a company has presented itself and they wanted to jump on the opportunity. They reached out to EFS for a free inspection and our Design Specialist Tom recommended installing Cleanspace, SilverGlo, Rim Joist Insulation, and a SaniDry Sedona into the crawlspace to encapsulate the crawlspace and control the humidity. 

Our team began by clearing any movable debris from the crawlspace. Then laying CleanSpace over the floor to start the process of encapsulating the crawlspace. After the floor was covered with CleanSpace the team then lined the walls of the crawlspace with SilverGlo to create a flat edge all the way around. After the SilverGlo was installed the team then continued to bring the CleanSpace up over the SilverGlo to encapsulate the crawlspace. To make sure that no gaps were missed the team used RimJoist Insulation to seal the crawlspace completely. After the team finished encapsulating the crawlspace they then finished by installing a SaniDry Sedona into the crawlspace. 

The homeowners were happy they found Erickson Foundation Solutions in their local newspaper. 

The owner of a family heirloom in Concord, New Hampshire, had lived in that home since they were a child. During their childhood, over 40 years ago, the now homeowner noticed the floors weren't level and were sloping. Flash forward 40+ years and the floors were still sloping and out of level. The homeowner plans to keep the heirloom in good condition so it can be used for future generations. The homeowner decided to call EFS for an inspection of the floor system in their 1860s home. Our Design Specialist Liam recommended installing 10 SmartJacks, 16 SmartJacks XT, and 112' of Supplemental beams into the basement to support the floor system in the main living area of the home. 

Our production team started by marking where each of the 26 new supports will be installed. Once all of the locations for the new supports were marked the team began removing dirt from the dirt floor basement so they could pour concrete bases for the regular SmartJacks to rest on.  Once the concrete was cured the team installed the regular SmartJacks over the concrete and attached our adjustable bracket to the supplemental beam to support the floor system above. For the SmartJack XTs, the team just removed some dirt and poured some engineered fill into the hole, and installed our big plate footings over it. The team then installed the support to the big plates and then to the beam above. The XTs were installed in the main area of the basement and supplemental beams were alternated with every other load-bearing beam. Once all of the supports were installed the team used the adjustable brackets to lift and level the floors back to their original place. Once everything was pressurized the team covered the support with concrete to lock them in place. 

The homeowner was very happy with the results of the project. 

A homeowner in Dunbarton, New Hampshire, had lived in their home for 30+ years. Since moving into their home they have always noticed settlement around the garage. They never thought much of the settlement until a few years ago a pine tree fell on their home. Since then they have seen the settlement on the corner of the garage accelerate and now they need a section of the foundation repaired. The homeowners decided to call EFS for a free inspection. Our Design Specialist Victor inspected the home and its foundation and recommended rebuilding a section of the foundation wall and installing a new frost wall. 

Our masonry team began by removing the settled and crumbled section of concrete. After the section was removed they then installed temporary supports and then began pouring a new footing for the masonry wall. The team had to wait until the concrete was cured to start laying the masonry block on the footing and start building up the foundation wall. The team built a 17' long masonry wall around the corner of the attached garage foundation. After the masonry wall was complete the team then sprayed the exterior wall with frost wall mitigation. With the frost wall installed the team removed the temporary supports and backfilled around the new masonry wall. 

The homeowners were very pleased with the results of the project. For a substantial project, the crew only needed around 3 days to complete it. This new masonry wall and frost wall mitigation will add support and stability to the garage for years to come. 

A homeowner in Bow, New Hampshire, has lived in their home for the past 35+ years. Since they moved in they have always had a few cracks in the garage slab. Over the past 35+ years, the cracks haven't gotten any worse but the homeowners would like to have them looked at. They decided to call EFS for a free inspection and our Design Specialist Isaac recommended installing PolyLevel to the front of the garage to fill any void and level the concrete, then using NexusPro to seal the horizontal crack across the garage.

Our team began by drilling small portholes in a grid pattern across the garage slab to fill the void under the slab. Next, they slowly and precisely fill the void under the slab. After the void was filled the team then used NexusPro to seal the cracks in the garage. 

The homeowners were very pleased with the void fill and crack seal in their garage. 

A homeowner in Dunbarton, New Hampshire, has lived in their home for over 30 years but shortly after moving into their home they noticed their garage foundation shifting and cracking. Some years ago they had a pine tree fall on their home and that caused the settlement problem to accelerate. They decided to call EFS for a free inspection and our Design Specialist Victor examined the foundation of the garage. Victor recommended installing a new block foundation on the settling side of the garage. 

Our masonry team began by exposing the foundation and removing the settling foundation wall and supporting it with temporary supports. Our team first poured a new footing for the masonry wall the team was going to install. After the footing was poured and cured, the team then began laying masonry blocks on top of the footing. The team laid blocks until they reached the bottom of the garage. After that, the team removed the temporary posts and backfilled the over the new masonry wall. 

The homeowners were very pleased with the results of the projects the team was able to complete the masonry wall in only a couple of days.

A homeowner in Chichester, New Hampshire, has lived in their home for the past 20 years. This year a tree fell on the corner of their home and caused damage to the roof and the foundation. The homeowner filed an insurance claim in which the insurance company told the homeowner to find a company to repair the home. They reached out to Erickson Foundation Solutions for a free inspection. Our Design Specialist Isaac inspected the home's foundation and found that the corner of the foundation was the only part affected by the tree falling on the house. Isaac recommended installing a block masonry wall and a new egress window to the cracked section of the foundation. Before installation could begin the homeowner was required to remove a section of the front porch to give us access to the foundation. 

Our installation team began by exposing the foundation wall and began removing the damaged section of the wall. The team removed all the debris and began preparing to install the Masonry Block Wall. The team began laying the masonry blocks and built up the wall. At the top of the foundation, the team installed an egress window and installed some waterproofing on the outside foundation wall to protect the foundation wall. 

The homeowners were very pleased with the results of the project.  

A homeowner in Concord, New Hampshire, has lived in their over 100-year-old home for the last 40+ years. They don't know exactly when it started but a long time ago they noticed a sag on the main floor of the home. They finally decided they would like to have this corrected so they reached out to EFS for a free inspection of their home. Our Design Specialist Victor recommended installing 6 SmartJacks with a 28' Supplemental beam and a SaniDry into the basement to eliminate the sag in the floors and reduce the moisture in the basement. 

Our installation team began by marking where to install each SmartJack in the basement. The team will install 3 SmartJacks and 14' of Supplemental beam to the section of the basement near the stairs into the basement, the other 3 SmartJacks and 14' of Supplemental beam will be installed on the side of the basement near the washer and dryer. After all the locations of the supports were marked, the team began chipping out concrete to install our big SmarkJack footings. Once the team installed all 6 footings they then started installing the supplemental beams and SmartJacks. To attach the supports and the beam the team propped up the beam using a series of ties to hold the beam up while they secured the SmartJacks to the beam with our U bracket. The team secured all the supports to the two beams and began to lift up the floor system using our adjustable bracket on the SmarkJacks. After the floor was lifted and leveled, the team then poured concrete over the footings of the SmartJacks. Lastly, the team installed a SaniDry in the basement to manage the humidity in the basement. 

The homeowners were very pleased with the work done by EFS and the homeowners no longer have to deal with sagging floors on their main floors. 

A homeowner in Bradford, New Hampshire, moved into their 1850s home 4 years ago. Since they moved in they have noticed cold drafts and mice coming from the crawlspace. The house is set on a fieldstone foundation and the homeowner thinks there is a hole in the crawlspace allowing the mice and cold air in. The homeowner decided to call EFS for a free inspection. Our Design Specialist Jason inspected the entire basement/ crawlspace and found some small gaps that were allowing mice and cold air into the crawlspace/home. Jason recommended installing PolyLevel Wall Restoration to the fieldstone and sealing up any cracks or holes that mice or cold air could travel through. 

Our installation traveled into the crawlspace which only had 30-34 inches of clearance and sprayed PolyLevel Wall Restoration to the fieldstone foundation in the crawlspace. The PolyLevel Wall Restoration is a 2 part mixture that will rapidly expand when exposed to each other and air. The gaps were all sealed by the PolyLevel expanding into cracks and holes in the fieldstone foundation. 

The homeowners immediately saw a difference inside their home. There were no cold drafts and the home has caught all of the mice in the basement and hasn't seen any more enter the home. 

A homeowner in Canterbury, New Hampshire, had built their home 2 years ago. They have lived in their home for the past 2 years they have noticed a crack in their foundation wall and on the basement slab. Since their home was built recently they would like to address any problems as quickly as they can. They decided to call EFS for a free inspection of their home. Our Design Specialist Jason inspected the home and found the cracks in the foundation wall were caused by the walls bowing. Jason recommended installing 2 Geolocks to the foundation wall near those cracks to straighten the wall and then using crack injection and NexusPro to treat the cracks. 

Our installation team began by marking where the two Geolocks will be installed on the foundation wall. Once the position of the Geolocks was finalized the team then made a trench in the yard 10 ft outside the foundation wall. This trench will where our team will send a rod through the foundation wall into the trench and attach Geolock plates on either side of the galvanized rod. After the plates were attached to the rod the team tightened the plates until the wall was straightened. After the wall was straight the team backfilled the trench and then addressed the cracks on the foundation wall and floor. The team used crack injection on the crack that was on the foundation wall to ensure that water couldn't enter through that crack. After the Crack Injection was complete, the team used 31' of NexusPro to seal all of the cracks on the floor.

The homeowners were very pleased with the results of the project. They were especially impressed by the strength of the Geolocks to straighten their foundation wall. 

A homeowner in Warner, New Hampshire, built their home in the early 2000s. About 10 years ago they noticed a crack forming on the foundation wall in the basement. The crack was forming next to an electrical outlet and the homeowner was worried about water entering the basement and causing an electrical issue. The homeowners decided to call EFS for a free inspection and our Design Specialist Victor inspected the basement and recommended installing FlexiSpan over the crack on the wall. The FlexiSpan will allow water to travel down the crack but NOT enter the basement because of the membrane we install over the crack and the drain we install at the bottom of the wall. 

Our installation team began by cleaning up the crack and chipping out a small section of concrete from the bottom of the wall. Then the team laid a membrane over the crack which will not allow water to penetrate into the basement. Once the membrane was set up the team secured it with caulking which will hold it in place. Next, the team installed a drain at the bottom of the wall to send the water below the home. After the drain was installed, the team then covered the drain with concrete. 

The homeowner was pleased with the installation of the FlexiSpan and that it will protect the home from water entering the basement. 

A homeowner in Contoocook, New Hampshire, built their home in 2019, and shortly after moving in they noticed a section of concrete in the garage had begun to sink. Over the next few years, they have seen the concrete sink further and further down. The homeowners noticed their doors starting to get tight so they called EFS for a free inspection of their home. Our Design Specialist Isaac examined the slabs in the garage. He used a laser level to determine how much the slabs had sunk. He found that the back right slab in the garage had sunk 2" and the front right had sunk about 1". Isaac recommended installing PolyLevel into the garage to lift and level the slab. Isaac also recommended installing NexusPro to seal the control joints. 

Our installation team began by drilling portholes in a grid pattern around the garage so we could lift and level the slab without cracking it. After the holes were drilled the team then started to inject PolyLevel beneath the slab. The team first filled the void in the areas of the slab that have sunk but then lifted the sections that had sunk. Once the slab was lifted and leveled they then cleaned up any excess poly that had seeped through the cracks. After the poly was cleaned up, the team then used some universal concrete to plug the injection portholes.

The homeowners were very impressed to see our team and PolyLevel in action. They watched their concrete get lifted back to level in a matter of minutes and it was cleared to drive on by the time the team left. 

This homeowner in Concord, New Hampshire, has lived in their home for about 20 years. A couple of years into owning the home the homeowner started to notice some sagging of the floors around their home. The problem hasn't gotten worse in around 18 years but the homeowner would still like the problem looked at. They decided to call EFS for a free inspection and our Design Specialist Victor examined the floor system and recommended installing 3 SmartJacks with a 9' Supplemental beam to add support to the floor system. 

Our installation team began by chipping out 3 footings for the SmartJacks. The team installed our big plates underneath the slab and then installed the rest of the SmartJacks and the supplemental beam against the floor system. The team used the adjustable top bracket of the SmartJacks to lift the floor system and level the floor as much as we could. After all the lifting was complete the team mixed up concrete and covered the SmartJack footings with concrete to lock them in place. 

The homeowner was very happy with the results of the SmartJack installation in their basement. 

A homeowner in Hooksett, New Hampshire, had concerns with the cracks in the slab of their basement. The homeowner was aware of radon and doesn't want radon gas seeping up into the living area of their home. The homeowner decided to call EFS for a free inspection and our Design Specialist recommended installing PolyLevel and NexusPro to fill any void under the slab to prevent more cracks from forming and sealing the existing crack from allowing any radon gas into the home. 

Our Installation Team began by creating injection holes in the basement slab. The team will then use these holes to inject PolyLevel underneath the slab and fill any void. After the void was filled the team then used NexusPro to seal all of the cracks in the slab to prevent radon gas from seeping into the home. 

The homeowner was pleased with the results of the project. 

The owner of this family heirloom home in Concord, New Hampshire, had lived in their home since they were born. The home was built in the 1860s. Since the owner could remember they have noticed sticking doors and windows in the home. The owner doesn't live in the home anymore by uses it as a rental home and would like to preserve the estate for generations to come. To ensure that the home will be preserved,  the homeowners decided to call EFS for a free inspection of their foundation. Our Design Specialist Liam visited the home and inspected the entire foundation and looked for potentially concerning issues that could affect the foundation or internal structure of the home. After Liam's inspection, he recommended rebuilding 2 sections of the home's foundation wall with a new masonry block wall, installing 4 EZ post supports under the front porch roof, and installing 26 SmartJacks with 112' of Supplemental Beam to support the floor system of the home. 

Our Installation team will first install the SmartJacks and Supplemental Beams into the basement to strengthen the floor system of the home. To begin setting up for the SmartJacks the team first had to create footings for the SmartJacks. The floors in the basement were half concrete and half dirt so the team had to use two different methods of installing the footing of the SmartJacks. The two processes were similar but slightly different. On the dirt floor, the team would create a hole that would fit our big plate footing. Next, the team would install rebar, engineered fill, and then concrete to create a strong footing. Once the concrete was cured the team installed our big plate over the concrete and installed the SmartJack to the floor system of the home. For installing the footing on the concrete slab portion of the basement the only differences were chipping out a section of concrete before digging out where we would install the big plate, and then after the plate was installed the team would pour concrete over the footing to lock it in place. After all of the SmartJacks were installed and the supplemental beams were in place the team used the adjustable top bracket of the support to lift and add stability to the floor system of the home. 

After the SJs were installed, the team moved on to prepping the 2 sections of the foundation walls to be rebuilt with Masonry Block. The first step was to remove dirt from against the foundation wall to the footing so the team could set up temporary supports and remove the foundation wall. After the section of the wall was removed, the team poured a new concrete footing and waited for it to cure. Once it was cured our Lead Mason Nick would lay his starter blocks and then start building up the wall to the rim joist. Once the wall was built to the rim joist the team installed Sentry Seal to cover the outside wall of the foundation to guard against water seepage. After the Sentry Seal was installed the team then removed the temporary support and backfilled the dirt against the foundation wall. 

The homeowner was very impressed with EFS. The installation of everything went smoothly and the home is now structurally sound. 

A homeowner in Dunbarton, New Hampshire, moved into their 1940s home about 8 years ago. When the homeowner moved into the home they noticed sagging in the roof of the porch, but a couple of years ago they have seen the issue get worse. This year they decided to call EFS for a free inspection, and our Design Specialist Victor inspected the front porch and recommended installing 7 Helical Piers with Porch Brackets to the roof to prevent it from sagging. 

Our installation team began by setting up temporary supports next to the existing supports. Once the temporary posts were installed the team removed the old supports and began installing the new Helical Piers. Our team used a hydraulic drive head to drive the Helical Piers into the ground until we reached sufficient pressure. Once to pressure, the team cut the pier and installed our porch bracket, and extended a 6x6 from the porch bracket to under the roof. The team made sure the roof was level and at the roof was fully supported.

The homeowner was very pleased with the results of the project. They haven't seen their roof this straight since they purchased their home. 

This homeowner in Hooksett, NH was concerned with the condition of their front walkway which was comprised of concrete slabs. The concrete ran from the driveway, leading all the way up to the front porch of the home. Where the concrete met the porch, the slab had settled up to 2 inches, which had become a very dangerous trip hazard for the family. Temporarily, the homeowner had placed some unsightly blocks to help with this step, but they really wanted a permanent solution to have the concrete fixed. 

Our team offered a free inspection, and specialist Jason Vachon proposed using PolyLevel to lift and stabilize the sunken concrete . He also recommended all the joints along the walkway get sealed with NexusPro, which would prevent water from flowing directly under the slabs and causing more damage. 

The first step of the repairs involved lifting the concrete, especially where the walkway became a step for the front porch. Our installation specialists successfully lifted and stabilized this concrete, raised it 2 inches and created a safe step for the homeowners. Once injection of the polymer material was complete, the team installed NexusPro caulking to seal all the joints along the entire length of the walkway. This not only made the walkway more pleasing to the eye, but by sealing the joints would prevent too much water from flowing beneath the concrete, which would eventually lead to settlement and cracking. 

Excellent transformation for this homeowner in Hooksett, and they were very pleased with the results. 

A town building in Andover, New Hampshire, had tested their building for radon and found the results of the test to be concerning. The test results came back at around an average of 32 pCi/L and a peak level of 48 pCi/L, which is very high. The town then contacted EFS for a radon inspection of their building. Our Design Specialist Josh inspected the building and recommended installing 3 Radon Mitigation Systems, 374 sqft of CleanSpace, 265' of NexusPro, an ERV, and an Aspen Air Purifier into the building to lower the radon levels and better the air quality in the building. 

Our installation team began by installing the 3 Radon Mitigation systems. The team created 3 extraction points in different areas of the basement to collect as much radon as possible. The team then used PVC pipe to plumb the radon air to the exterior of the home. Once to the exterior of the home, the team used 3 radon fans to draw radon air from under the home to push it out to the open air where it can dissipate. Next, the team used CleanSpace and NexusPro to seal cracks and exposed ledge to prevent radon from seeping into the basement. After the cracks and ledge were sealed the team then installed our ERV to replace nasty basement air with fresh outside air. And finally, our team installed our Aspen Airpurifier into the main building to improve the air quality of the building. 

The Representatives at the town building in Andover, New Hampshire were very pleased with the results of the project. 

A homeowner in Bow, New Hampshire, has a semi-finished basement that they would like to add a bedroom to.  To make sure they stay in code compliance with the town, the homeowners would need to install a window into their basement that could be used in case of an emergency. The homeowner called EFS about the installation of a window in the basement and Rockwell so they could climb out of the basement if needed. Our Design Specialist Victor inspected the basement and found the best location to install the new basement window and Rockwell. 

Our installation team began by exposing the foundation wall. Once exposed, the team cut out a section of the wall so they could install the new basement window. The team framed the window into the concrete and installed ample waterproofing to prevent water from seeping into the basement. After the window was installed the team then began to install the Rockwell against the foundation wall. The Rockwell was secured against the foundation wall and the team then installed crushed stone at the bottom of the Rockwell to help drain water. After, the team then began piloting holes into the foundation so we could secure the top of the RockWell door. The door will help to guide water and/or snow from collecting at the bottom of the Rockwell.  

The homeowner was very pleased with the installation of the basement window and RockWell to make their basement code compliant with the town of Bow, NH. They were now able to add the bedroom to the basement.

The town of Boscawen, New Hampshire, reached out to EFS because they have seen more and more water entering their garage since they started using it. They have police cars that stay in that garage and might have water/ snow running off of them. The runoff is then collected on the back wall of the garage. The town of Boscawen reached out to EFS for an inspection of the garage. Our Design Specialist Josh inspected the garage and recommended a drainage system that will collect the water that has run off the police vehicles. 

Our installation team began by chipping out concrete in front of a shelving unit that was installed on the back wall of the garage. The team chipped across the entire width of the garage. In this trench, the team installed our SuperSump on the right side of the trench and then installed TrenchDrain WaterGuard to the remaining 39' across the garage. After the team set up the sump pump and the drainage into the concrete trench, we then mixed concrete next to the TrenchDrain and around the SuperSump basin to lock them into place. 

The Boscawen Police Department was very happy with the results of the project. They no longer have to worry about water collecting in their garage. 

The owners of this home in Concord, NH had lived there for about a year and knew there were some concerns they needed to address. At the back of the house on the exterior, there was a large concrete patio extending from the edge of the home's foundation all the way to the pool deck. The concern with this concrete slab was it sloped towards the home instead of being level, or sloping away from the home. This meant when it rained, all the run off drained towards the house, and ultimately was leading to the homeowners having a wet basement full of unwanted moisture. After addressing the moisture concern on the interior of their basement, they knew the situation on the outside of the home also needed to be fixed.

Our specialist, Victor Tapia, designed and proposed the ideal solution with our PolyLevel injection. Through slab jacking the sloping patio, the homeowners would not need to consider demolishing or removing any concrete, which would have been a noisy and messy process. Instead, the polymer foam injection process is quick, clean, and efficient. 

Led by Nick Melo, our concrete repair specialists were able to complete the project in a single day, lifting and repairing the entire concrete slab to the desired height and slope. Ensuring the water run-off would now flow away from the home instead of towards it, the then sealed the perimeter of the concrete where it abutted the foundation, adding a further layer of protection. 

The homeowners were pleased with the work and had incredible peace of mind that their basement was going to stay dry, and that their slab was in good condition. 

A homeowner in Hooksett, New Hampshire, has lived in their home for the past 30 years. The homeowners have noticed a sag in the sunroom. In the last couple of years, they have become worried about the structural integrity of their second-level sunroom and porch. The homeowner decided to call EFS for a free inspection of the supports of their sunroom. Our Design Specialist Victor visited the home and inspected the structural integrity of the sunroom and recommended replacing the supports with a combination of Helical Piers and EZ Posts. 

Our installation team began by setting up temporary supports around the existing supports. Once the temp posts were set up the team then removed the old supports and began setting up for installing the 4 Helical Piers under the main structure of the sunroom, then the remaining 4 will be EZ posts installed under the stairs and deck. Because of some tight access points, the team had to use our handheld drive head for the supports being installed under the stairs. For the remainder of the supports, we used our excavator with a similar drive head attached. The team drove each pier down into the ground until they reached their predetermined pressure, which was based on the weight of the structure. Once all the piers were driven into the ground, the team installed a porch bracket to each and then installed 6x6 Pressure Treated wood to the bracket and up to the bottom of the sunroom. Once all of the supports were secured, the team then removed all of the temporary supports.

The homeowner was very pleased with the results of the piers being installed under their sunroom.

A homeowner in Franklin, New Hampshire, had high levels of humidity in their basement. They had a dehumidifier in their basement but they were tired of lugging up the water up the stairs every couple of days. The homeowners decided to call EFS for an inspection. Our Design Specialist Jason found that the relative humidity of the basement was 52.8% so he recommended installing our SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier with a discharge line that will feed into a pump that will expell the condensed humidity outside the home. 

Our installation team came to the home and installed the SaniDry Sedona in the basement and made sure it was level and the discharge line was inserted into the pump. With the dehumidifier installed the homeowner can set the humidity to whatever is comfortable for them. 

Now the homeowner doesn't have to lug water buckets up the stairs and the humidity in their basement is at a comfortable level.

A homeowner in New London, New Hampshire, has lived in their home since 2006 and has always not liked the way their garage looked. The garage has always had cracks in it and now the concrete had begun to flake. The homeowner decided to call EFS for a free inspection of their home and our Design Specialist met with the homeowner and recommended installing NexusPro and DecoShield into the garage to repair and improve the aesthetics of the garage for the homeowners. 

Our installation team began by sealing 70' of cracks with NexusPro in the garage. After the cracks were sealed the team then began to install our DecoShield in the garage. The DecoShield will create a new surface that will look brand new compared to the cracked and flaking concrete from before. 

The homeowners were very pleased with the results of the project. The garage looks brand new with the DecoShield installed.

A New Hampshire homeowner sought to expand their living space by completing their basement. While organizing their belongings in the basement, they noticed a stair-step crack and an inwardly bowed wall, causing them to worry about the foundation's stability. To address their concerns, the homeowner contacted EFS and was assisted by Design Specialist Victor Tapia, who recommended installing four Geolocks to straighten the foundation wall and allow them to proceed with the basement renovation. 

Led by Edward N., our Installation Team began by excavating the area around the foundation wall to provide access for waterproofing installation. A trench was then dug ten feet away from the wall to accommodate the Geolocks. The dirt between the trench and the foundation wall was utilized as leverage to straighten the wall. A galvanized rod was inserted through the wall and the dirt and secured with a Geolock plate on each side. The ends of the rod were then tightened to bring the plates closer together, successfully straightening the wall. Finally, the team backfilled the trench and dirt against the foundation wall. The homeowner was thrilled with the result and able to complete their basement renovation.

A homeowner in Allenstown, New Hampshire has been experiencing water entering their basement for the past three years. This year, the amount of water that flooded their basement was the last straw, so they reached out to EFS for a free inspection. Our Design Specialist, Victor Tapia, met with the homeowner and suggested installing a perimeter drainage system to prevent water accumulation on the basement floor. The installation included 86' of WaterGuard, a TripleSafe sump pump, 2 IceGuards, and an Exterior Drainage Line.

The Installation Team, led by Gunther and Paul, began by removing concrete around the perimeter of the basement. After creating a 6-inch wide trench and a basin for the TripleSafe sump pump, they installed the drainage and sump pump. The TripleSafe was then plumbed to the exterior of the home, where 2 IceGuards and an 8-foot Exterior Discharge Line were installed. The drainage line was buried, and the team poured concrete over the WaterGuard and the sump pump basin. Once the concrete was cured, the system was securely in place, and the homeowner no longer has to worry about water entering their home.

A homeowner in Concord, New Hampshire, purchased their home in 2016 and has been upgrading and repairing items around the home. The home was built in the early 1900s and the homeowners wanted to make sure the supports in the basement were strong enough to support the modern-day appliances. The homeowners called EFS for a free inspection of their basement by our Design Specialist. Our specialist Jason Vachon met with the homeowner and talked to them about their concerns. After their talk, Jason went into the basement and inspected the floor system. After his inspection, he recommended installing 3 SmartJacks and a 16-foot supplemental beam to add support to the floor system. 

Our installation team led by Eric Witham began by chipping out small sections of concrete so we could install our big plate footings. After the concrete was chipped and the debris was removed we then poured crushed stone into the hole where the footings will be installed. Next, we installed the big plates and then measured and cut each SmartJack to the correct size. We then installed each SmartJack and the supplemental beam beneath the floor system. After the system was installed and everything was leveled we then mixed up concrete and poured it over SmartJacks footings to lock them into place. 

The homeowner was very pleased to cross another item off their list. They can already feel the difference in the floors. 

This homeowner in Concord, New Hampshire has lived in an early 1900s home since September 2021. After they purchased the home they noticed that a section in their rock and brick foundation was bowing outward. They had become worried about the stability of the foundation wall and decided to call a knowledgeable foundation company about their concerns. They scheduled an appointment with EFS and our Design Specialist Jason Vachon met with the homeowners and recommended a solution to stabilize the foundaiton wall. He recommended installing an Auxiliary Wall against the foundation wall to add stability to the foundation wall. 

Our installation team led by Nick Carelli and his team installed an 8-foot Auxiliary wall on the foundation wall. To install the Aux wall we had to first pour a footing that would support the new wall. Once cured we then installed PowerBraces, rebar, and our concrete forms. After that, we scheduled a concrete delivery to fill the forms up to the top and then waited for the concrete to cure. After fully cured we then removed the concrete forms and trimmed off any imperfections from the concrete.

The homeowner was very impressed with the Auxiliary wall that our team installed. 

A homeowner in Epsom, New Hampshire, has lived in their home for the past 8 years. After a couple of years of living in their home, they started to notice some cracking inside their garage and on their foundation wall. Concerned with the cracks the homeowners called Erickson Foundation Solutions for a free inspection. Our Design Specialist Anthony Brancato met with the homeowners and talked about their concerns. After his conversation with the homeowner, Anthony inspected both the garage and basement. In his inspection, he found that the slab in the garage had sunk slightly which caused some cracking, in the basement they found that the foundation had some cracks in it because the wall was bowing inward slightly. After his inspection, Anthony recommended a solution for the homeowners that included PolyLevel and NexusPro to be installed in the garage and Geolocks to be installed in the basement to stabilize the wall. Before the installation date, one of our Project Managers recommended a slight change to the project because the Geolocks needed over 10' of space on the other side of the foundation wall which would've disturbed some items in their yard. We decided to pivot and then recommended installing 10 PowerBraces instead. After the final plan was finalized, our production team arrived at the home and installed the PolyLevel, NexusPro, and PowerBraces. 

The homeowner was very pleased with the results of the project. 

The owner of a house in Concord, New Hampshire has been living in the same place for 35 years. Recently, they started using their basement as a workout space but noticed that it was very damp and this worried them. They contacted EFS to schedule a free inspection. EFS sent their Design Specialist, John Prince, to meet with the homeowner and discuss their concerns. After their conversation, John inspected the basement to find a solution to the issue. He went over the whole basement and then created a proposal for the homeowner. EFS proposed installing a full perimeter drainage system, which would include a TripleSafe sump pump and a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. This solution would eliminate any water issues in the basement and also control the humidity to prevent dampness when the homeowner works out in the basement. 

The EFS Installation Team, led by Anthony LoCascio, began by chipping out concrete around the perimeter of the basement. They then used jackhammers to break up the concrete into small pieces to create a trench for installing 102 feet of perimeter drainage and the sump pump at or beneath slab level. In addition to the normal WaterGuard perimeter drainage, they also installed 8 feet of Trench Drain WaterGuard around the oil tank. After all of the drainage and the sump pump were installed, the team plumbed the TripleSafe sump pump to the exterior of the home. While the pump was being plumbed, the other members of the team began mixing concrete to install around the sump pump and Trench Drain, then covering the rest of the WaterGuard with concrete. While the concrete was curing, the team moved outside to install 2 IceGuard and the buried exterior drainage line to carry water away from the foundation. The last item installed was the SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, which was placed next to the sump pump. The team ensured the dehumidifier had power and fed the discharge line into the sump pump. With the perimeter drainage system fully installed, the homeowner can now work out in the basement without worrying about a damp space. They can be confident that there will be no water or unwanted dampness in the basement.

A homeowner in Concord, New Hampshire, purchased a home built in the late 1800s in August 2022. In order to appeal more to the seller, they waived the inspection, which resulted in some unknowns leading to the future of owning their home. During heavy rainstorms, water and small critters entered their basement, and they reached out to EFS for a free inspection. Our Design Specialist, Jason Vachon, met with the homeowner and inspected the basement. Jason found some voids in the foundation wall that could be sealed with our PolyLevel Wall Restoration. During his inspection, he also found that the basement had high humidity and that the temporary supports needed to be replaced. Therefore, Jason recommended installing a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier and Lally columns to be installed in the basement as well.

Our installation team began by installing our PolyLevel Wall Restoration. Since the team was spraying a foam, the homeowners had to remain out of the home for a period of 24 hours. This was just a precaution for the homeowners. After the Poly was sprayed, our team left and then returned at a later date to install the Lally columns and SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier. To install the Lallys, the team first chipped out three small sections of concrete and poured footings for them to rest on. After the footings were cured, the team installed the Lally columns and then poured more concrete around them to lock them into place. Lastly, the team installed our dehumidifier in the basement to control the humidity.

The homeowners were very pleased with the results of the project, as they no longer have to worry about water or critters entering their basement.

A homeowner in Salisbury, New Hampshire, has been living in their home for 15 years. About 12 years ago, after a few days of rain, the homeowners noticed water seeping into their finished basement. They believe that because the home is situated on a hillside, the high water table was causing water to seep into the basement. Although water has collected in the basement only three times in the last 12 years, the homeowner would like to prevent it from entering permanently. Therefore, they called EFS for a free inspection of their basement.

Our Design Specialist, Jason Vachon, met with the homeowner and inspected the basement. After the inspection was complete, Jason recommended installing 14 feet of WaterGuard, SuperSump, IceGuard, and a 20-foot buried Exterior Drainage System to prevent water from entering the basement permanently.

Before the crew arrived, the homeowner had to remove the flooring from the edges of the wall so that EFS could install their perimeter drainage and sump pump. 

The Installation Team started by chipping out the concrete where the seepage occurred. They chipped out 14 feet of concrete with a jackhammer so that they could install the perimeter drainage and sump pump. After chipping out the concrete and cleaning out the debris, the team installed the drainage and sump pump below the slab of the basement. Next, they plumbed the sump pump to the exterior of the home, where they installed the IceGuard and 20-foot buried Exterior Drainage Line to carry water away from the foundation of the home. This will prevent water from re-entering the basement. After the drainage was installed, the team returned to the basement and covered the perimeter drainage and around the sump pump basin with concrete to lock everything into place.

The homeowner was very pleased with the results of the project. They no longer have to worry about water entering the basement.

A homeowner in Hopkinton, New Hampshire had been living in their house for approximately a year. When they purchased the house, the seller assured them that the basement was not prone to flooding. However, after a year of living in the house, they faced basement flooding and discovered signs of mold and mildew. The homeowner had plans to finish the basement in the future but couldn't do so due to the flooding and mold growth. They contacted EFS for a free inspection of their basement. Our Design Specialist, Isaac Hernandez, met with the homeowners, assessed the situation, and proposed a solution. Isaac suggested installing a full perimeter drainage system that included 100' of WaterGuard, a TripleSafe sump pump, 2 IceGuards, a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, and a buried exterior drainage line to prevent water from entering the basement and eliminate mold and mildew.

Our Installation Team began by chipping the perimeter of the basement to install the perimeter drainage system and sump pump. They used a jackhammer to break up the concrete into manageable pieces that they could remove from the basement. Once they removed all the debris, our team installed the drainage system and sump pump. Next, the team plumbed the sump pump to the exterior of the house, where they installed two IceGuards and a 10' buried exterior drainage line. After the exterior drainage was installed, the team returned to the basement to pour concrete around the basin of the sump pump and cover the perimeter drainage to lock them into place. Finally, the team placed the SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier next to the sump pump to control humidity levels in the basement and prevent mold growth.

The homeowner was thrilled with the work that Erickson had done in their home. They no longer have to worry about water or mold issues in their basement.

A homeowner in Epsom, New Hampshire, had owned their home for the past 30 years. Two years ago the son-in-law noticed a crack in the foundation behind the garage. The son-in-law will inherit the home from his mother-in-law so he wanted to repair any issues now before they get any worse. After knowing about the crack for over a year they have seen the issue get worse so the homeowners called EFS for a free inspection of their foundation. 

Our Design Specialist Jason Vachon met with the homeowner and inspected the foundation of the garage. He saw the block foundation separating and shifting on the back of the garage. Jason recommended installing Geolocks to the foundation of the garage to prevent further movement. In addition to the Geolocks, Jason also recommended installing NexusPro and PolyLevel to seal cracks and lift and level the concrete inside the garage. 

Our installation team led by Edward N. began by chipping out a trench inside the garage parallel to the wall that was shifting. The trench was made 10 feet from the wall so we could use the soil in between the trench and the wall to stabilize the foundation. On the home's exterior, we drilled 6 small holes in the block foundation so we could send galvanized rods into the trench in the garage. All 6 rods were sent into the trench and exposed on the outside of the home. Next, the team attached the Geolock Anchors to both ends of the rods and tightened them until the foundation was secured. After the foundation was secured we backfilled over the trench and poured new concrete to match the garage slab. 

Then the team began to install PolyLevel under the slab in the garage to lift and level it. After the slab was lifted and leveled we lastly used NexusPro to seal the cracks in the slab. 

The homeowners were very pleased with the results of the project. This repair gives them confidence that the home will be sturdy when the son-in-law inherits the home from the mother-in-law.

A resident of Hooksett, New Hampshire has lived in their 1920s home for their entire life. After being widowed 6 years ago, they had to adjust to being the sole decision-maker for their property. Some years ago, the homeowner noticed water seeping through cracks on the slab in the basement. They tried some DIY fixes, but none were effective in preventing water from seeping through the slab. After a couple of failed attempts, the homeowner contacted EFS for a free inspection of their basement to find a permanent solution. Our Design Specialist, Josh Phillips, met with the homeowner and recommended installing WaterGuard, TrenchDrain, TripleSafe, IceGuard, Exterior Drainage Line, SaniDry Sedona, and NexusPro in the basement to prevent water seepage. 

Our installation team, led by Gunther Billhardt, began by chipping out around 50 feet of concrete around the basement perimeter to install our perimeter drainage and sump pump. The team removed the chipped concrete and some dirt, allowing us to lay our drainage below the concrete slab. The team also dug a sump pit for our sump pump and basin to sit level with the concrete floor. After installing and integrating the pump and drainage, the team then plumbed the sump pump to the exterior of the home, where we installed 2 IceGuards and a 30-foot EDL to carry water away from the foundation. After installing and burying the exterior drainage in the yard, the team returned to the basement to cover the top of the drainage and around the basin with concrete to secure the system in place. After pouring the concrete, the team installed our SaniDry Sedona next to the TripleSafe. The team tested the system to ensure that everything was working and then sealed the cracks in the slab with NexusPro. Once the crack repair was complete, the job was done.

The homeowner was very pleased with the results of the project.

A homeowner in New London, New Hampshire, had a partially finished basement with wood finishes. They had noticed water in the basement for a couple of weeks and were concerned about mold formation. They contacted EFS to inspect the basement. Design Specialist Victor Tapia examined the basement and discovered mold under the baseboard heating system. To prevent mold and water collection, Victor advised installing a perimeter drainage system and a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier in the basement.

As the finished walls were inaccessible, the homeowner removed the wood finishing to allow our team to install a perimeter drainage system. We dug around 40 feet of concrete around the perimeter of the finished area to install WaterGuard and TripleSafe. We placed the sump pump basin in the drainage system and then connected the system to the exterior of the home. We also installed IceGuard and 30 feet of exterior drainage line to carry water away from the foundation of the home.

After we installed the exterior drainage, we returned to the basement to cover the perimeter drainage and the sump pump basin with concrete. Once the concrete cured, we installed the SaniDry Sedona next to the TripleSafe and reinstalled the baseboard heating in the finished portion of the basement. To ensure continuous dehumidification, we fed the SaniDry Sedona's discharge line into the sump pump basin.

After completing the job, we took the homeowner on a final walkthrough, showing them everything we installed and answering their questions. The homeowner was very pleased with the project's outcome.

Lisa A. has owned her home for a little over 5 years. After the first winter living there, the family noticed that it was a lot colder in the rooms located above their crawl space. As the years went on, unpleasant odors started to occur. This is common when a crawl space is poorly insulated and lacks encapsulation. Our Erickson Foundation Solutions team was happy to offer a solution to this problem.

After doing an inspection, our Design Specialist, Josh Phillips, recommended encapsulating the crawl space by using CleanSpace, a vapor barrier that keeps the space dry and helps prevent wood rot, insects, and critters. Additionally, our team installed our SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier, which controls moisture and further keeps the space dry and temperate. With a combination of these two products, a pleasant crawl space environment is created, which in turn eliminates the problems that Lisa's family was experiencing.

Now that this family has the ideal crawl space, the house is warm in the winter and odors no longer linger throughout the house.

Janelle and Joe were in the process of finishing their basement. Unfortunately, a crack appeared in the wall during that process and now there is a fear that the basement will flood. The French drain that they had installed has not diverted water in the way that they had hoped. They reached out to our team so that they did not have to fear of a flood every time it rains.

After meeting with our Design Specialist, we recommended placing WaterGuard around the perimeter of the basement which would filter into our TripleSafe Sump Pump. This would provide complete protection and then pump out the water to a safe location. After discussion, Janelle and Joe decided that they wanted to install our WaterGuard system along the wall that the crack appeared, which would filter into a sump pump that they already had installed. Additionally, our Installation Specialists used FlexiSpan to seal up the crack. Although this is not a complete waterproofed system, the problem has been solved. Additional WaterGuard perimeter drainage can be added in the future if need be.

Overall, this was a very smooth process. Janelle and Joe are happy that they can now finish their basement without fear of all their belongings being damaged in a flood.

Mark F. is a homeowner in Concord, New Hampshire who plans on traveling in the near future. Although he already has a sump pump, leaks in the basement occur almost every time it rains. Constantly cleaning up the mess, storage getting damaged, and concern that flooding will get worse were all reasons why Mark reached out to us to make sure his basement stays dry.

After our Design Specialist completed a free home inspection, he recommended adding perimeter drainage to capture all the excess water that the sump pump alone couldn't. This eliminates heavily water-saturated soil putting pressure on foundation walls, causing them to leak. Installing out WaterGuard perimeter drainage system was a smooth process, as our team was able to complete the job in one day. Within that time, our installation crew chipped out space to lay the WaterGuard system, put the system in place along with crushed stone, connected it to the existing sump pump, and then cemented WaterGuard in place.

Adding perimeter drainage to the sump pump goes a long way. With this waterproofing system in place, Mark can enjoy traveling while knowing that his basement will stay safe and dry.
