Push Pier or Helical Pier? Which One is Right for You?

A settling foundation can not only harm your home but also your quality of life. There are various methods to address this, but selecting the appropriate solution is critical for resolving these issues. We provide two effective options to rehabilitate your foundation: Push Piers and Helical Piers. Both will permanently stabilize your foundation, yet they have distinct differences that should be considered.

Push Piers

Push Piers are the safer choice when local soil conditions are uncertain. They can reach significantly greater depths than helical piers because they are driven under high pressure to stable soil layers. However, they are not suitable for lighter structures which may not provide sufficient weight to drive the piers into the ground adequately.

Helical Piers

Helical Piers are versatile and can stabilize foundations of any weight. The helical blades cause minimal soil disturbance and can reach deeper than traditional helical piers. Our helix-shaped Helical Piers are designed to be installed to the necessary depth, even if a dense soil layer is present near the surface.

Similarities

Both options offer a permanent solution for foundation stabilization, can be installed rapidly with little disruption, and are placed below ground level, rendering them invisible. Nevertheless, the choice of pier might vary based on the weight of your structure and soil conditions to ensure the most effective outcome for a compromised foundation.
