Why We Don’t Do Ballpark Quotes

Our Sales Manager, Josh Bartholomew, often compares ballpark quotes to comparing Fenway Park to the new Yankee Stadium. While both are ballparks, their age, structure, and needs are vastly different. Similarly, no two homes are alike. Without seeing the property firsthand, it’s impossible—and unfair—to provide an accurate estimate. Pricing isn’t arbitrary; it’s based on the size of the area, the extent of the issue, and the specific products and services required.

  • Pre-Appointment Preparation: We mail out informational booklets so you can review our services and prepare any questions.
  • Professional Introduction: Our System Design Specialist will introduce themselves and explain the inspection process.
  • Listening to Your Concerns: We take detailed notes on the issues you’ve noticed and gather general information about your home.
  • Guided Walkthrough: You’ll accompany the specialist during the inspection to see what they see and better understand the findings.
  • Precise Measurements: We take all necessary measurements to ensure accurate product recommendations.
  • Additional Findings: If we identify other concerns, we’ll discuss them with you—only if you’re interested.

Service-Specific Inspection Details

Each of our services requires a specialized inspection process:

Basement Waterproofing

  • Identify the source and path of water intrusion.
  • Assess for obstructions that may affect installation.

Radon Mitigation

  • Provide radon test prior to home inspection.
  • Use a radon eye and air quality meter to measure current levels during inspection.
  • Determine the best location for system installation, ensuring radon is vented at least 10 feet from any entry points.

Crawl Space Repair

  • Take extensive photos to document conditions, especially since homeowners rarely access this area.
  • Evaluate moisture levels, insulation, and structural integrity.

Structural Repair

  • Use laser levels, tape measures, and laser tape to detect signs of settlement, deflection, or floor sagging.
  • Assess foundation walls, support beams, and floor joists.

Concrete Repair

  • Inspect the entire concrete footprint, not just the visibly affected area.
  • Perform tamping to detect voids beneath the surface.
  • Conduct water testing to determine if the concrete is properly sealed.
