Soil Washout and Concrete Sinking
You can see in the photo that soil erosion has created a significant void beneath the concrete slab. As the supporting soil washed away, the slab lost its structural base, causing sections of concrete to settle and separate. If this issue isn't corrected, the void will continue to expand, leading to ongoing settlement, widening cracks, and eventually a pool deck that is unsafe and potentially unusable.
SlabJacks
SlabJacks were strategically positioned to apply controlled, upward pressure to the settled concrete sections, allowing the slabs to be lifted and realigned to their proper elevation. This method ensures precise leveling while minimizing stress on the surrounding concrete.
Pool Deck Leveling and Stabilization
PolyLevel is a high‑density polyurethane foam that is injected beneath the slab to fill the voids and reestablish proper support. As the material expands and cures, it stabilizes the pool deck and helps lift any settled sections back toward their original position. After stabilization, NexusPro is applied to all joints and cracks to prevent surface water from penetrating the slab and eroding the underlying soil again. Unlike standard caulks or sealants, NexusPro is formulated to resist UV exposure, ensuring long‑term flexibility and durability even in direct sunlight.
