Wet Basement
Visible water staining on the foundation floor indicates ongoing, repetitive water infiltration. This persistent moisture exposure not only placed stored personal belongings at risk of damage, but also created conditions favorable for mold growth. Given that the homeowner is immunocompromised, there was heightened concern that microbial growth could pose serious health risks, making prompt mitigation essential.
WaterGuard
Our WaterGuard interior drainage system was professionally installed around the full perimeter of the basement to proactively manage groundwater intrusion before it enters the living space. Installation involved carefully removing sections of the concrete slab to allow placement of the WaterGuard system directly on top of the foundation footing. This strategic positioning enables the system to immediately collect water that penetrates the foundation walls or floor joint. The captured water is then efficiently directed to the sump pump system for safe discharge away from the home. Once installation was complete, the concrete floor was restored, resulting in a durable, clean, and seamless appearance.
TrenchDrain
Our TrenchDrain system was strategically installed to manage surface water and redirect flow around fixed basement obstructions, including utilities and doorways. This system is designed to capture water at the surface level of the foundation where traditional perimeter drainage may be interrupted. The TrenchDrain seamlessly integrates with the existing WaterGuard interior drainage system, ensuring all collected water is efficiently conveyed to the sump pump system for proper removal from the basement environment.
SuperSump
As water from the interior drainage system enters the sealed SuperSump liner, it is promptly managed by a high-performance Zoeller sump pump engineered for consistent, long-term reliability. Under normal operating conditions, the pump automatically activates to discharge water away from the home, maintaining a dry and controlled basement environment. As an additional layer of protection, the integrated WaterWatch Alarm continuously monitors water levels within the liner and alerts the homeowner if levels rise beyond normal operating capacity-providing added peace of mind without reliance on constant oversight.
IceGuard
Water is discharged from the home through a dedicated exterior discharge line engineered for efficient and controlled removal. As the line transitions to the exterior of the foundation, an IceGuard discharge line protection system is installed to serve as a critical cold-weather failsafe. In the event the primary discharge line becomes obstructed or frozen, IceGuard automatically provides an alternate exit point for water, preventing pressure buildup, system backups, or interior flooding that can result from blocked discharge conditions.
