Radon Extraction Point
An extraction point was made in the foundation floor of the home and PVC pipe was fit to it. This allows for radon to be guided from underneath the home's foundation and outside of the home.
Additional Radon Extraction Point
When radon levels are very high, an additional extraction point is necessary to effectively remove radon to get radon levels as low as possible.
Radon Fan
The PVC pipe extended from the foundation floor, through the framework of the home, to the exterior portion of the attic. Then, the radon fan is installed. The radon fan actively draws radon gas from underneath the home's foundation and releases it safely out of the home.
Releasing Radon Above Roofline
Additional PVC pipe was added to the radon fan and extended through the roof. It is essential for radon to be released above the roofline and away from entry points of the home to ensure it cannot enter the home. This design allows for safe removal while also preserving the aesthetics of the home.
