Radon Extraction Point
We initiated the project by establishing an extraction point in the foundation floor. To preserve the aesthetic integrity, we carefully removed the finished flooring in this area. Subsequently, we installed PVC piping at the extraction point, routing it through the home's siding. This setup facilitates the safe extraction of radon gas from beneath the foundation.
Additional Extraction Point
Due to the foundation's large size, an additional extraction point was necessary to ensure radon levels were as low as possible throughout the home.
Radon Fan
The radon fan connects to the PVC pipe on the exterior of the home. The radon fan actively draws radon gas from the soil underneath the home. PVC pipe is then constructed from the fan to above the roofline to ensure safe removal away from any entry points.
Additional Radon Fan
The additional radon fan was installed using the same method. The aesthetic cover on the radon fan enhances the home's visual appeal, ensuring a sleek and unobtrusive appearance.
