Finished Basement Water Damage
Water intrusion into the finished basement compromised both the drywall and carpeting. Due to the extent of the moisture damage, the lower sections of drywall and carpet had to be removed to prevent further deterioration and potential mold growth.
WaterGuard Perimeter Drainage System
Our WaterGuard drainage system was installed along the interior perimeter of the basement, positioned just above the footing. This strategic placement allows the system to intercept groundwater seepage before it reaches the finished basement space. Collected water is efficiently channeled to the sump pump system for discharge away from the home. Following installation, a flood test was conducted to verify system performance, and the drainage channel was permanently sealed into the foundation with concrete for a clean, flush finish.
TrenchDrain Surface Drainage
In select areas of the basement where immovable utilities obstructed the path of the perimeter drainage system, TrenchDrain was strategically installed to provide surface-level water collection. This system integrates seamlessly with the WaterGuard drainage channel, ensuring a continuous and efficient route for water to be directed toward the sump pump for removal. This design maintains full functionality of the waterproofing system without compromising access or utility placement.
TripleSafe Sump Pump
The TripleSafe Sump Pump system was installed approximately two feet below the basement surface to promote optimal gravitational flow of water into the basin. This advanced system features three pumps working in tandem to ensure comprehensive protection. The primary pump manages standard water volumes under normal conditions. A secondary, high-capacity pump activates during periods of elevated water intrusion, such as heavy rainfall or rapid snowmelt. For added security, a third, battery-powered backup pump provides uninterrupted operation during power outages, ensuring continuous water removal and peace of mind for the homeowner.
