Concrete Settling (Problem Area 1 Before Photo)
Over time, sections of the pool deck experienced differential settlement due to underlying soil voids, resulting in uneven surfaces and hazardous trip points that rendered the area nearly unusable. To restore structural integrity and safety, it was necessary to fill these voids and reestablish uniform support beneath the concrete slabs, thereby stabilizing the pool deck and preventing further displacement.
Lifting, Leveling, and Stabilizing the Concrete Pool Deck (Problem Area 1 After Photo)
To correct the uneven concrete slabs, our crew utilized precision slab jacking equipment to lift and level the affected sections. Once the slabs were properly aligned, PolyLevel®-a high-density, expanding polyurethane foam-was injected beneath the concrete to fill voids and provide long-lasting stabilization. This process restored the pool deck to its original elevation and proper pitch. To further protect the repair, NexusPro® joint and crack sealant was applied between the slabs, effectively sealing gaps to prevent water infiltration that could lead to future erosion or displacement.
Problem Area 2 (Before Photo)
The same process was followed for the other problem areas of the pool deck.
Problem Area 2 (After Photo)
Concrete by the pool entrance was restored.
Problem Area 3 (Before Photo)
Concrete by the left of the diving board was cracked and sunken.
Problem Area 3 (After Photo)
The area to the left of the diving board after installing PolyLevel and NexusPro.
