Wet Crawl Space
Persistent water intrusion into the crawl space led to elevated moisture levels, resulting in musty odors throughout the home. Prolonged exposure to these damp conditions also created an environment conducive to wood rot, potentially compromising the structural integrity of the crawl space over time.
Drainage Matting
To address moisture intrusion, the crawl space floor was carefully regraded to promote positive drainage. A drainage matting system was then installed beneath the encapsulation liner to facilitate water movement and prevent standing water from accumulating under the vapor barrier.
