Wet and Cold Crawl Space
Despite the presence of a liner on the crawl space ground, odors from damp soil permeated the area. Additionally, inadequate insulation resulted in cold floors. A comprehensive solution was necessary to enhance the health of the crawl space, thereby creating a healthier and more comfortable living environment.
SilverGlo
Our team commenced the project by initially clearing debris from the crawl space. SilverGlo, an advanced insulation system, was then installed along the crawl space walls. This system, which boasts an R-11 insulation value, is resistant to moisture and mold due to its inorganic composition, distinguishing it from other insulation materials.
TerraBlock
Drainage matting was subsequently installed on the crawl space floor, establishing a barrier between the earth and the home. This matting enhances drainage back into the soil and prevents water accumulation in the crawl space. TerraBlock was then laid over the drainage matting, serving as both insulation and encapsulation to maintain a warm and dry crawl space environment.
CleanSpace
CleanSpace, a robust and durable liner, was then installed over TerraBlock and securely attached to the SilverGlo insulation on the crawl space walls. This liner forms a comprehensive moisture barrier, effectively preventing moisture infiltration. Consequently, issues related to mold, humidity, and wood rot are significantly mitigated.
