Wet Unlevel Crawl Space
The crawl space exhibited significant moisture problems and uneven ground conditions, rendering it unsuitable for use. Items stored in the area were at risk of damage, as the previously installed tarp provided little to no protection against moisture intrusion.
Crawl Space Grading
Our team began by grading and leveling the crawl space floor. Establishing a uniform surface not only maximizes usable storage area but also ensures a proper seal during encapsulation, improving overall system performance and durability.
Crawl Space Encapsulation
Our team encapsulated the crawl space using a comprehensive system that included drainage matting, TerraBlock®, and CleanSpace®. The drainage matting establishes a pathway for ground moisture to flow toward the drainage system, preventing water accumulation beneath the liner. Over this, we installed TerraBlock®, which provides both insulation and structural support, creating a more comfortable and durable surface for access. Finally, CleanSpace® was carefully fitted along the walls and around utilities to form an airtight vapor barrier. Together, these components significantly reduce moisture and humidity, transforming the crawl space into a cleaner, healthier, and more energy-efficient environment.
SmartDrain
Water is directed toward the SmartDrain, strategically positioned at the lowest point of the crawl space to capture and manage any intruding moisture. The SmartDrain system efficiently channels water back into the soil through a controlled drainage pathway, preventing pooling and protecting the encapsulated environment.
