Temporary Jack Unable to Provide Long Term Floor Support
The temporary support jack was used to support the floor above the basement. However, being designed for short-term use, it eventually caused the floors to sag. The homeowner needed a reliable foundation repair solution to stabilize their floors.
Concrete Removal
Concrete was removed from the area where the lally column was to be installed. We chipped out the concrete to a depth of one foot to create a sturdy base.
Footing with Rebar
Rebar was woven to reinforce the footing for the lally column, adding strength and stability.
Lally Column Footing
Concrete was poured to create a level footing for the lally column to be placed on.
Lally Column Cemented in Foundation
After the footing cured, the lally column was positioned on top of it. Additional concrete was poured around the column to secure it firmly into the foundation, ensuring maximum support and stability.
Lally Column Completed Installation
The lally column is securely attached to the joist, supporting the weight of the floor above. This stabilizes the floor, eliminating any signs of sagging or bounciness. By installing the lally column, the homeowner ensures the structural integrity of their home, providing peace of mind and long-term stability. Additionally, lally columns help distribute weight evenly, preventing future foundation issues.
