Failing Brick Support Columns
As illustrated in the photo, the brick support columns have begun to shift and deteriorate, indicating their inability to sustain the weight of the floors above. This results in sagging and bouncy floors.
SmartJack Footing Concrete and Soil Removal
The project commenced with the crew establishing temporary support columns to ensure floor stabilization during the installation of SmartJacks. This precaution enabled the safe removal of the existing brick columns. Subsequently, the crew excavated the SmartJack footings, removing concrete and soil from the designated installation areas.
SmartJack Footings with Rebar
After the concrete is chipped out and approximately one foot of soil is excavated, rebar is strategically installed within the footings. This reinforcement significantly enhances the structural integrity, ensuring the creation of exceptionally durable footings.
SmartJack Footings Cured
Concrete is then poured and meticulously leveled. After the concrete has fully cured, the SmartJacks can be securely positioned atop the footings.
SmartJacks Installed to Main Beam
Our SmartJacks system is fully adjustable and can be precisely leveled to deliver optimal support, stabilization, and lift to the main beam. This process effectively restores floor joists to their intended position, thereby correcting sagging floors.
SmartJacks Cemented into Foundation
As a final step, the SmartJacks are securely cemented into the foundation, significantly enhancing the durability and longevity of this comprehensive floor stabilization solution.
