Failing Floor Supports
The existing wooden support posts were no longer capable of adequately carrying the structural loads from the floor system above, resulting in noticeable floor deflection and sagging throughout the living space.
SmartJack Footing Excavation
Sections of the concrete basement slab were carefully excavated, and soil was removed to the required depth to accommodate the installation of engineered footings for the SmartJack® support system.
Footings with Rebar
The footings were reinforced with steel rebar to enhance their structural strength, improve load distribution, and provide long-term support for the SmartJack® system.
Cured Footings
Concrete was poured over the reinforced rebar framework and carefully finished to create a level, high-strength footing capable of providing long-term support for the SmartJack® system.
SmartJacks Installed on Footings
Following footing cure, the SmartJack® base assemblies were positioned on the engineered footings, and the adjustable steel support columns were installed. The bases were then securely anchored to the concrete using mechanical fasteners, creating a stable and permanent load-bearing support system.
Supplemental Beam
One SmartJack® support column was strategically installed beneath a supplemental beam to improve load distribution and provide enhanced structural support across multiple framing members.
SmartJacks Stabilizing Floor
The SmartJack® system features fully adjustable steel support columns, allowing technicians to make precise structural corrections to lift and stabilize sagging floor systems. Once the desired elevation and support are achieved, the installation is completed by pouring concrete around the base assemblies, integrating them into the basement slab and providing long-term stability and protection.
