To permanently stabilize the wall, our team installed the GeoLock Wall Anchor System by trenching a section of the garage floor, installing earth anchors and steel rods, and securing wall plates to the foundation. After torquing the system, we backfilled the trench, restored the garage floor with concrete, installed plate covers for a clean appearance, and repaired the cracked foundation area with mortar. Exterior Foundation Wall Crack

The foundation wall exhibited outward bowing due to lateral soil pressure, with vertical cracks indicating significant structural movement.

GeoLock Interior Trench

A trench was strategically excavated beneath the garage floor to accommodate the placement and proper installation of the GeoLock® earth anchors.

GeoLcok Anchors

Galvanized steel anchor rods were installed from the exterior anchor location through to the trench beneath the garage slab. The GeoLock® earth anchors were then connected to the rod and embedded in stable, load-bearing soil beyond the zone of wall pressure, allowing the system to transfer resisting forces to competent soil and provide long-term stabilization of the foundation wall.

GeoLock Plates

The GeoLock® wall anchor plates were then installed on the exterior face of the foundation wall and progressively torqued to apply engineered tension along the galvanized anchor rods. This tension transfers loads to the earth anchors embedded in competent soil, counteracting lateral earth pressures and stabilizing the foundation wall.

Foundation Crack Repair

The foundation wall cracks were repaired using a high-strength mortar, restoring surface continuity and helping to prevent further deterioration while enhancing the wall's overall appearance.

Upon completion of the anchor installation, the trench was backfilled and compacted in controlled lifts to restore grade, reestablish soil stability, and ensure optimal long-term performance of the GeoLock® wall anchor system.

Garage Concrete Repair

A layer of compacted crushed stone was installed over the backfilled excavation to provide a stable subbase, after which concrete was placed, finished, and leveled to match the existing slab elevation, fully restoring the garage floor.
