Foundation Repair Photo Album: Business Foundation Stabilization, Londonderry, NH
This business in Londonderry, New Hampshire, was planning on installing two loading docks to the business but wanted to confirm that the foundation of the building could handle it. The manager of the building decided to call EFS to have us inspect the foundation of the building and see if it could sustain the two loading docks being installed. Our Design Specialist Kenny Calabrese met with the building manager and inspected the foundation. After Kenny's inspection, he recommended installing 11 Helical Piers across the wall length where the two loading docks will be installed. The loading docks are planned to be 22' and 18' wide and Kenny recommended installing 5 Helical Piers under the 22' dock and 4 Helical Piers under the 18' dock.
Our Installation Team led by Neal Foley began by exposing the footing of the foundation by using our excavator. Once exposed, the team cored holes in the foundation wall and chipped out the footing. The team will install the Helical Piers horizontally through the foundation wall to stabilize the foundation wall. Next, the team will install the Helical Piers to the footing and stabilize the foundation. After everything was installed we called a building inspector to confirm everything for the town and then covered the foundation with soil and tamped it down. Now the business can confidently install those two loading docks to the business without worrying about the foundation.
The owner of the building plans on installing two loading docks on this long stretch of the wall but needed to know if the foundation could sustain it.
Holes Cored for Helical Piers
The team used a large coring drill to make holes so we could drive in the piers through the foundation wall.

Galvanized Plates and Backfill
