Bowing Foundation Wall
The foundation wall was experiencing inward bowing accompanied by developing structural cracks. To prevent further lateral movement and increasing damage, the wall required immediate stabilization.
GeoLock Rods
Our GeoLock® system provided the optimal solution for stabilizing the compromised wall. The installation began by advancing galvanized steel rods through the foundation wall and extending them into a carefully excavated trench at a distance from the home.
GeoLock Anchors
After extending the rods into the excavated trench, the GeoLock® Earth Anchors were secured to them. These anchors engage stable, undisturbed soil, creating a reliable counter‑force capable of supporting and stabilizing the foundation wall.
GeoLock Plates
On the interior side of the foundation wall, GeoLock® wall plates are secured to the anchored rods and systematically tightened. This controlled tension transfers stabilizing force to the wall, halting inward movement and, in many cases, allowing for gradual, corrective straightening over time.
Foundation Wall Crack Injection
We injected the foundation wall crack using a structural repair material and installed a crack monitor to track any potential future movement. This allows us to verify whether the wall remains stable or requires further corrective action.
Basement Drainage System
To address basement water intrusion, we began the waterproofing process by installing the WaterGuard® perimeter drainage system. Positioned along the interior footing of the foundation, WaterGuard® captures groundwater and directs it to the sump pump before it can enter the basement, ensuring controlled and efficient water management.
Drainage System Connected to Sump Pump
The WaterGuard® system integrates directly with the UltraSump® sump pump, channeling collected water into the pump basin for controlled and efficient discharge.
UltaSump Sump Pump
The UltraSump® sump pump system includes a Zoeller® primary pump to manage routine water removal, complemented by a battery‑powered backup pump that provides continued protection during power outages or primary pump failure. After installation, the sump basin and drainage components are encased in concrete following a successful flood test, ensuring proper flow, reliable operation, and long‑term basement protection.
Discharge Line Protection
Water is discharged from the home through an exterior drainage line. An IceGuard® discharge protection device is installed on this line to allow water to safely escape if the pipe becomes frozen or obstructed. This fail‑safe feature prevents backups that could cause the sump basin to overflow, providing an added layer of protection and helping to ensure the basement remains dry year‑round.
Bubbler Pot
Bubbler pots are installed at the termination points of discharge lines to facilitate efficient water dispersal, preventing surface accumulation and reducing the risk of saturated or soggy lawn conditions.
