This homeowner in Marshfield, MA was concerned with the condition of his stamped concrete driveway. The concrete was showing signs of cracking, and he was worried if he did not address the problem in a timely manner the situation would get worse, and more expensive to fix. He certainly took the right action, as voids were forming beneath the concrete, and as water continued to erode away the soil, the concrete was going to continue cracking and become worse.
Our design specialist proposed PolyLevel to lift the concrete in a section just outside one of the overhead garage doors where there was slight settlement. He also proposed the best solution to protect the concrete in various other sections by filling the voids wherever needed.
Our concrete repair specialists arrived on the morning of the scheduled project, and began work immediately. The first step was to set up lifting brackets with slab jacks and steel I-beams. These brackets allowed the team to lift the sunken concrete slightly, enabling them to get a more accurate lift with their PolyLevel foam injection. After successfully lifting the concrete outside the garage area, the team then injected PolyLevel at predetermined locations to further protect the concrete driveway from unwanted settlement. They then also sealed all the cracks with a gray colored NexusPro silicone, a product specifically designed for exterior application on concrete surfaces.
