Foundation Wall Crack
This foundation wall crack was allowing groundwater to seep into the basement during wet conditions. The homeowner wanted a proven, minimally invasive repair solution that would permanently seal the crack and help keep the basement dry.
Wall Crack Sealing
A professional crack injection was performed to permanently seal the leaking foundation wall crack. During the repair process, specialized injection ports were installed along the length of the crack, and a high-strength polyurethane material was injected under pressure. The expanding material filled the crack from the inside out, creating a watertight seal that helps prevent future water intrusion while restoring the integrity of the foundation wall.
Radon Mitigation Extraction Point
To mitigate radon, an extraction point was created in the basement slab to capture soil gases from beneath the home. A PVC vent pipe system was then connected to the extraction point and routed through the home and out through the exterior siding, providing a dedicated pathway for radon gas to be safely discharged.
Radon Fan
The radon fan was installed on the exterior section of the PVC vent system to create continuous suction beneath the foundation slab. Operating 24 hours a day, the fan draws radon-laden soil gases from below the home and safely exhausts them above the roofline, where they can disperse into the outdoor air away from windows, doors, and other potential entry points.
Foundation Floor Cracks
Unsealed floor cracks can serve as pathways for radon gas and other soil gases to enter the home. Sealing these openings helps reduce potential intrusion points and enhances the overall effectiveness of the radon mitigation system.
Sealing Basement Floor Cracks
The basement floor cracks were sealed with NexusPro® Joint Sealant to help prevent radon gas and other soil gases from entering the home. This durable, flexible sealant creates a long-lasting barrier that reduces potential entry points beneath the slab and supports the overall effectiveness of the radon mitigation system.
