Unencapsulated Crawl Space
The crawl space lacked proper encapsulation and insulation, allowing excess ground moisture and unconditioned outdoor air to infiltrate the area. This created a damp environment and contributed to reduced energy efficiency, colder interior floor temperatures, and overall homeowner discomfort.
Subfloor Removal
Our team strategically removed sections of the subfloor to gain access to the confined crawl space, allowing for the proper installation of our insulation and encapsulation systems to improve energy efficiency and moisture control.
Drainage Matting
Drainage matting was installed to create a capillary break between the soil and encapsulation system, directing groundwater seepage beneath the liner and toward the designated drainage pathway.
TerraBlock
TerraBlock™ insulation was installed across the crawl space floor to provide a continuous thermal barrier, helping reduce heat loss through the ground while enhancing the overall energy efficiency of the home.
SilverGlo Insulation
SilverGlo™ insulation panels were installed along the crawl space walls to provide a high-performance thermal barrier, helping to reduce heat transfer, improve energy efficiency, and maintain a more consistent indoor temperature.
CleanSpace
CleanSpace® vapor barrier was installed to seal the crawl space from ground moisture and humidity, helping to create a cleaner, drier, and more energy-efficient environment beneath the home.
Radon Extraction Point
A radon extraction point was established within the crawl space to capture radon gas from beneath the home. A dedicated PVC discharge line was then installed from the extraction point and routed to the exterior, creating a continuous pathway for the safe venting of radon gases away from the structure.
Radon Fan
The radon fan actively creates negative pressure beneath the home, drawing radon gas from the extraction point and safely exhausting it through the PVC vent system to the exterior of the structure.
Radon Released Above Roofline
Radon gas is discharged above the roofline and away from openings such as windows, doors, and ventilation intakes, allowing it to safely dissipate into the atmosphere and minimizing the potential for re-entry into the home.
