Radon Extraction Point
The crew started work on the project by creating an extraction point in the basement floor. This depressurized the area, allowing radon to be extracted through PVC pipe.
Additional Extraction Point
Given the elevated radon levels in the home, the installation of a secondary extraction point was crucial to effectively mitigate the radon concentration. The PVC pipes from both extraction points were then integrated and routed through the home's siding to exit the basement, ensuring a comprehensive and efficient radon reduction system.
Radon Fan
Upon reaching the home's exterior, the PVC pipe was connected to a radon fan. This fan actively extracts radon from the soil beneath the home's foundation and expels it above the roofline, away from any potential entry points. This method ensures the safe removal of radon, preventing any exposure within the home.
Radon Manometer
Our radon mitigation systems are equipped with a radon manometer, providing a visual indicator to ensure the system is functioning optimally.
