Radon Extraction Point
Our team established an extraction point through the basement's foundation floor to mitigate radon accumulation beneath the home. A PVC pipe was installed at the extraction point to facilitate the safe removal of radon, thereby preventing its infiltration through the foundation.
Additional Extraction Point
Given the elevated radon levels within the home, it was imperative to establish an additional extraction point to effectively reduce radon concentrations. The PVC pipes from both extraction points were subsequently combined and routed through the home's siding for safe expulsion.
Radon Fan
The radon fan was affixed to the PVC pipe on the exterior of the home. This fan actively extracts radon from beneath the home, thereby ensuring effective radon mitigation.
Removing Radon Above Roofline
PVC pipe was then extended from the radon fan, surpassing the roofline to ensure the safe expulsion of radon gas, thereby preventing its re-entry into the home.
Radon Manometer
A radon manometer was installed to the radon mitigation system to monitor its extraction efficiency. This provides a visual representation that the system is operating correctly.
