Radon Extraction Point
We initiated the project by establishing an extraction point through the foundation floor, effectively depressurizing the radon-laden soil beneath the home. A PVC pipe was then installed at the extraction point to safely channel the radon gas away from the home, thereby mitigating its infiltration.
Additional Radon Extraction Point
Given the elevated radon levels in the home, an additional extraction point was necessary to ensure radon concentrations remained within acceptable limits. The PVC pipes from both extraction points were consolidated and routed through the home's siding to expel the radon gas safely.
Radon Fan
The radon fan was connected to the PVC pipe upon reaching the exterior of the home. This fan actively extracts radon from the soil beneath the home. Additional PVC piping was then installed from the radon fan, extending beyond the roofline to ensure the radon is expelled far from any entry points of the home.
Air Purifier
The Aspen Air Purifier was installed in the basement to improve air quality. Consequently, mold spores, allergens, and other toxins are effectively mitigated, fostering a healthier home environment.
