Service Manager

Position Responsibilities :

  • Lead, Coach & Mentor: Lead by example by living out our Mission, Vision, Values. Reward and recognize great work. Manages employees’ performance and conducts performance reviews. Creates and/or provides opportunities for employees’ growth and development. Leads group and individual meetings/trainings daily.
  • Training: Develop and implement trainings in both classroom and field situations that will increase the department's performance. Helps develop and implement new hire trainings and onboarding.
  • Drives Revenue: Formulates and implements strategies to have each service technician meet or exceed projected metrics each month.
  • Removes any barriers that the service department has and provides expectations and holds employees accountable to meeting these expectations.
  • Optimizes the resources of the company by managing workflow, ensuring service staff have the tools they need to be successful in their roles.
  • Oversees the Annual Maintenance Program and customer service, including such things as service calls, warranty claims, mailings, data entry, and the scheduling calendar.
  • When customer issues are escalated, finding solutions while giving WOW! service to all customers.
  • Calculates all service staff commissions weekly.
  • Performs ride alongs with all service technicians and provides feedback.
  • Cross trains in other departments for back-up support.

What You Need:

  • 2+ years of management experience directly overseeing, coaching and mentoring a team and being responsible for their performance and exceeding goals. Ideally in the areas of: Plumbing, HVAC, Waterproofing, Sales etc.
  • Experience training and implementing sales systems and programs.
  • Ability to detect/recognize information in written materials and on computer screen 75-100% of time.
  • Skill in verbal (including presentation skills) and written communication.
  • Ability to understand, speak, read, and write in English.
  • Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to move objects.
  • Ability to move about/traverse up to 50% of the time.
  • A valid driver’s license, a safe driving record, and the ability to drive for the company.
