Where the driveway surface met the garage entrance, the concrete had settled so much they had to use shims as ramps for their car tires in order to get in and out of the bays with their vehicles. The needed a solution to address this big concern.

Our Erickson team designed and proposed a solution to lift the concrete with PolyLevel, an expanding polymer foam material for concrete repair. Rather than having to tear out and pour new concrete, PolyLevel is injected through port holes in the surface of the concrete. As it fills the voids beneath the slabs, the concrete rises up to the desired location. For this homeowner, the solution was ideal and saved them time and money. Our team successfully lifted the concrete driveway slabs up several inches to where it met the trim pieces of the garage. Going forward, the owner will no longer need to worry about damaging their car due to a high drop off from the garage surface. 

These homeowners in North Andover, MA were looking to add a porch to the front of their home, and before doing so were aware they first needed to fix their leaning foundation wall. The cinder block foundation wall was starting to bow inwards due to the soil on the exterior adding pressure, mostly from the weight of rain water building up. The wall anchors extended from the interior of the foundation wall, going out 10 feet from the home, into firm compacted soil four to five feet down in the ground. With 6 of these wall anchors secured in place, the wall is now permanently stabilized and supported, and any extra weight our pressure from compaction will not effect the wall. In the basement where the end of the anchors were visible, our team also installed covers to provide a nice, clean look that would not stand out.

They now have peace of mind to move forward with their new porch construction and not have to worry about the foundation wall of their home beneath it.
