This homeowner in Malden, Massachusetts had an issue where the original brick and wooden porch supports of this 1890 Victorian home need to be repaired. The beams are slipping off of the piers in some places and would like for Erickson to come and look at them.
Design Specialist Kyle Jamerson came to the home and gave a full inspection of the porch. He decided that the porch would need new perimeter supports along with some additional support towards the middle. He proposed that the perimeter supports be 5 EZ posts and the interior supports be 4 SmartJacks.
Crew Lead Spencer Ladd and his team came to the home and followed the plan Kyle proposed. They installed the SmartJacks first to add support to the middle of the porch. After the SmartJacks, they installed all 5 of the EZ posts.
The homeowner was very happy with the project.
The support posts in this basement were old wooden columns. Over time they were not stabilizing the floor system above properly. The failing posts were replaced by Erickson Foundation Solutions with SmartJacks.

A homeowner in Malden, Massachusetts, had lived in a home built in 1900 since 2009. In the last couple of years, the homeowners noticed water seeping into their basements through the fieldstone foundation. They have gotten tired of cleaning up the water in their basement with a shop vac. They decided to call EFS for a free inspection, and our design specialist recommended installing PolyLevel Wall Restoration on the fieldstone foundation to prevent water from seeping into the basement.
