SmartJacks are similar to Lally columns, but are able to provide better support to the home, and are also adjustable. The SmartJacks are installed by inserting a galvanized steel plate into the foundation on top of a sturdy base of crushed stone. Then, the steel post is attached to the plate, and also connected to a supplemental support beam. The system is then cemented in place.
