A homeowner in Newburyport, Massachusetts, had radon concerns in their basement. They called EFS for an inspection of their basement to check the radon levels. We recommended installing a radon mitigation system to lower the radon levels in the home. To make sure the system would be effective the Design Specialist inspected the basement to see if radon could seep up from any other locations. Our specialist found that the existing sump pump would allow radon to seep into the basement. So we installed a custom sump pump lid that will prevent the seepage of radon into the basement.
