The first pump handles all normal levels of water that are filtered to the sump basin. A second pump is activated when larger amounts of water surround the basement. A third battery-powered pump is activated in an emergency situation such as a power outage.

Once this sump pump system was fully installed, it was cemented in place. With this system in place, the homeowner no longer needs to worry about having a wet basement!
