This homeowner in Atkinson, NH had a 3-season entrance porch area to their home. Beneath the subflooring, the crawlspace was very damp and moldy, causing the floor above to become spongy. Water and moisture was entering the space through the exposed dirt floor as well as the concrete walls of the crawlspace foundation.
For our inspection, it was clear to see how wet the crawlspace had become. The insulation meant to be tucked up into the floor joists was all damp and drooping down. Some of the wood joists had extensive rot damage and others were moldy. Our design specialist proposed replacing some of the damaged floor joists and supporting the entire floor system in this area with a couple SmartJacks.
