Damaged Basement Walls and Floor
A basement flooding incident resulted in significant damage to the finished walls, flooring, and various personal belongings. Due to the extent of the water intrusion, the lower sections of the drywall and the affected finished flooring materials required removal and disposal.
Interior Basement Drainage System
To proactively intercept groundwater before it can enter the basement, a WaterGuard interior drainage system was installed along the full interior perimeter. This system is positioned beneath the basement floor slab, where it captures and channels intruding water toward the sump pump for proper discharge. Once installed, the system is sealed with new concrete, creating a clean, flush, and unobtrusive finish at the floor level.
Basement Surface Drainage
Bulkhead entry points are common sources of water intrusion in basement environments. To address potential surface water in this area, a TrenchDrain surface drainage system was installed to capture water directly at the floor level. The TrenchDrain is integrated with the existing WaterGuard perimeter drainage system, creating a unified and continuous channel for directing water to the sump pump for proper discharge.
TripleSafe Sump Pump System
The TripleSafe Sump Pump system is designed with three integrated pumps-a primary pump, a secondary high-capacity pump, and a battery‑powered backup unit-to ensure continuous and efficient water removal under all conditions. Each pump activates automatically based on demand, providing redundant protection and maintaining reliable basement drainage even during heavy water intrusion or power outages.
SilverGlo Basement Insulation
The wall studs that were cut during the demolition process were properly re‑secured to reestablish structural continuity and support a seamless half‑wall reconstruction. SilverGlo rigid foam insulation panels were custom‑cut and installed within the wall system to enhance thermal performance, helping maintain a warmer, more energy‑efficient basement environment during colder seasons.
EverLast Half Wall
The EverLast Half Wall system was installed along the lower portion of the wall to restore the finished basement space. Constructed from fully inorganic and moisture‑resistant materials, this system provides long‑term durability, prevents mold growth, and delivers a clean, attractive finished appearance.
Wall Trim
Wall trim was then installed over the EverLast Half Wall system to provide a clean, cohesive transition and enhance the overall finished appearance of the basement.
ElitePlank Basement Flooring
ElitePlank Flooring was installed throughout the basement to restore the finished floor surface. Manufactured from fully inorganic materials, this flooring system is resistant to moisture and mold, providing a durable and visually appealing finish suitable for basement environments.
