Bulkhead Leaking
Water staining is visible on the interior surfaces of the bulkhead, indicating chronic moisture intrusion. Water accumulated at the base of the stairwell and subsequently migrated into the adjacent closet, resulting in damage to stored personal belongings and finished wood components.
BrightWall
The crew mechanically removed the concrete slab along the perimeter of the bulkhead to properly install the WaterGuard® interior drainage system. WaterGuard is designed to intercept and collect groundwater seepage at the footing level before it can penetrate the basement interior. Once the drainage system was in place, BrightWall® panels were installed over the foundation walls to manage wall seepage by directing moisture down into the WaterGuard system, while also providing a clean, durable, and finished appearance to the foundation walls.
TrenchDrain
A TrenchDrain surface drainage system was installed at the bulkhead entrance to intercept and manage surface water intrusion. This system is designed to capture incidental seepage at the doorway threshold and direct it away from the structure, reducing the potential for water entry into the basement.
Feed Line
A dedicated feed line was integrated into the TrenchDrain system to convey captured water beneath the basement slab and discharge it into the sump pump system. This subsurface connection ensures efficient water management while maintaining a clean, unobtrusive drainage profile.
TripleSafe Sump Pump
The TripleSafe® sump pump system provides high-capacity, redundant water removal to protect the basement under varying conditions. The system utilizes three pumps that engage progressively based on the volume of incoming water, ensuring optimal performance during normal, heavy, or extreme groundwater influx. An integrated battery-powered backup pump delivers continued operation during power outages, maintaining uninterrupted protection against water intrusion.
