Failing Wooden Supports
The existing wooden support posts were structurally inadequate to carry the imposed loads from the floor system above, resulting in deflection and noticeable sagging of the floors.
Deteriorating Fieldstone Foundation Walls
Over time, the original fieldstone foundation walls experienced progressive separation and joint deterioration, creating pathways for water intrusion through the wall.
Polyurethane Foam Free Spray
A polyurethane foam coating was applied to the fieldstone foundation walls to reinforce the surface and mitigate further deterioration. This application also helps reduce water intrusion by sealing gaps and irregularities within the wall structure, improving the overall durability and moisture resistance of the foundation system.
Floor Support Footings
Engineered concrete footings were constructed within the foundation floor to provide a stable, load-bearing foundation for the SmartJack® support system. These footings were reinforced with embedded steel rebar to enhance structural strength and durability, ensuring reliable support and long-term performance under load.
Floor Supports
The SmartJack® support system was installed atop the engineered footings and securely connected to the main beam in the basement. Each unit was precisely adjusted to apply controlled, incremental lift to the beam, effectively stabilizing the floor joists and, where possible, restoring the floors above to a more level position.
Basement Drainage Matting
A drainage matting system was installed across the foundation floor, creating a subfloor drainage channel that directs water efficiently toward the WaterGuard system for proper collection and removal.
Basement Drainage System
Our WaterGuard drainage system was installed along the interior perimeter of the basement to capture and redirect water infiltration before it can enter the living space. Collected water is then efficiently channeled to the sump pump system for controlled discharge away from the home.
TripleSafe Sump Pump
The TripleSafe® sump pump system utilizes a three-pump design to provide reliable, continuous water management under all conditions. The primary pump handles everyday water intrusion, while a secondary, higher-capacity pump activates during periods of heavy inflow to prevent system overload. In the event of a power outage, a battery-powered backup pump ensures uninterrupted operation. Together, these components deliver a redundant and highly dependable solution for keeping the basement dry and protected.
Concrete Floor Pour
A new concrete slab was poured to restore the structural integrity of the foundation floor and provide a durable, stable surface.
