The basement floor consistently exhibited water infiltration issues, resulting in elevated moisture levels that created a musty environment and rendered the space unsuitable for safe storage.
Interior Basement Drainage System
WaterGuard is designed to intercept groundwater at its point of entry. Installed along the interior perimeter of the basement at the footing level, it captures intruding water before it can penetrate the living space. The collected water is then efficiently channeled to the sump pump system for controlled discharge away from the home.
Basement Surface Drainage System
TrenchDrain is engineered to capture surface water directly from the basement floor and is seamlessly integrated with the WaterGuard system to maintain uninterrupted water conveyance. It is strategically utilized to redirect water around fixed basement obstructions and utilities, as illustrated in the photo.
Sump Pump with Battery Backup
The TripleSafe™ Sump Pump system incorporates a three-pump configuration engineered to address varying levels of water intrusion. The primary pump manages routine groundwater infiltration, while the secondary pump activates during periods of elevated inflow, such as heavy rainfall or storm events. A third, battery-powered backup pump provides uninterrupted protection in the event of power outages or primary system failure, ensuring continuous basement water management under all conditions.
Discharge Line Freeze Prevention
Water is expelled from the home through a designated discharge line. An IceGuard® system is installed along the exterior section of this line to serve as a fail-safe in the event of freezing conditions. Should the discharge line become obstructed by ice, IceGuard allows water to exit safely, preventing backflow and reducing the risk of system backup and basement flooding.
Lawn Drainage
A bubbler pot was installed at the termination point of the discharge line to facilitate controlled water dispersion into the surrounding soil, promoting efficient drainage while preventing surface pooling and lawn saturation.
