Leaking Basement Window
Over the past two years, the basement window had experienced recurring water intrusion during heavy rain events, resulting in as much as 1/4 inch of standing water on the basement floor. Concerned about potential damage to stored belongings and the risk of ongoing moisture-related issues, the homeowner sought a permanent waterproofing solution to protect the basement and maintain a dry, healthy environment.
WellDuct Cored Hole
A core-drilled opening was created beneath the basement window, extending from the base of the exterior window well through the foundation wall to the interior side beneath the window. This opening provided a direct pathway for drainage and water management.

A PVC drainage conduit was installed within the core-drilled opening to capture and redirect water from the exterior window well to the interior drainage system, preventing water from infiltrating through the basement window assembly.

WellDuct Pipe Cover
A protective cover was installed over the drainage duct to prevent the accumulation of debris, deter pest entry, and maintain unobstructed water flow through the system.
WellDuct Connected to WaterGuard
The WellDuct drainage system is integrated directly with the WaterGuard® perimeter drainage system, creating a comprehensive water management solution beneath the basement window. Water collected within the window well is intercepted and conveyed into the WaterGuard system before it can infiltrate the basement. The WaterGuard system then channels the captured water to the sump pump, where it is efficiently discharged from the home, helping to maintain a dry and protected basement environment.
Waterproof Basement
To provide dependable protection against basement flooding, a TripleSafe™ sump pump system was installed. The system features three levels of pumping protection: a primary pump for everyday water removal, a secondary pump for periods of heavy water inflow, and a battery-powered backup pump that continues operating during power outages. After installation, the system was thoroughly flood-tested to verify proper performance before being permanently encapsulated within the concrete basement floor. To further enhance the basement environment, a SaniDry™ XP dehumidification system was installed to control humidity levels, improve air quality, and help prevent mold and moisture-related issues.
