Old Sump Pump
The existing sump pump system was unable to effectively manage groundwater intrusion, creating concerns about moisture-related damage to future finished basement materials, including flooring and wall systems. Additionally, the absence of a sump liner allowed excess moisture to evaporate into the basement, contributing to elevated humidity levels.
WaterGuard
A WaterGuard® perimeter drainage system was installed along the basement footing to intercept groundwater at the wall-floor joint (cold joint) before it could enter the basement living space. The system is designed to capture seepage at its point of entry and channel it efficiently to the sump pump system, where the water is collected and discharged away from the foundation to help maintain a dry, healthy basement environment.
Trench Drain Around Utilities
TrenchDrain™ was installed in areas where the WaterGuard® drainage system could not be installed due to the presence of immovable utilities and other structural obstructions. This surface drainage system is designed to capture water at the floor level and integrate seamlessly with the WaterGuard system, providing a continuous drainage pathway around the obstruction. Collected water is then redirected to the sump pump system for efficient discharge, ensuring comprehensive water management throughout the basement.
TrenchDrain Installed at Bulkhead Entrance
TrenchDrain™ was also installed at the bulkhead entryway to intercept surface water at this vulnerable access point before it could enter the basement. By capturing and directing water into the integrated drainage system, the TrenchDrain helps prevent water intrusion at the doorway and ensures any collected water is safely conveyed to the sump pump system for discharge.
TripleSafe Sump Pump
The TripleSafe™ Sump Pump System was installed to provide reliable, multi-stage protection against groundwater intrusion and basement flooding. Equipped with three levels of pumping capability, including a battery-powered backup pump, the system is designed to maintain continuous operation during high water events and power outages. Its sealed sump liner helps reduce moisture evaporation from the sump basin, minimizing basement humidity levels and contributing to a healthier, drier below-grade environment.
