Preparing to Install Basement Perimeter Drainage System
Our crew started work on the project by chipping out concrete along the perimeter of the foundation. Once the concrete is removed, the WaterGuard drainage system is put in place. WaterGuard captures water from wet soils surrounding the foundation before it exposed to the basement space. This system is set in crushed stone for the optimal flow of water to be delivered to the sump pump.
Basement Drainage System Connected to Sump Pump
The WaterGuard system seamlessly integrates into the sump pump's basin so water can be removed from the home.
Completed Basement Drainage Installation
After the WaterGuard system is flood tested, it is then cemented in place. Our crew lays concrete to grade, ensuring a level basement surface.
Sump Pump with Battery Backup System
The UltraSump Sump Pump has the capability of removing a high volume of water, ensuring protection from water ingress during heavy storms or snowmelt. With its battery-powered backup pump, the UltraSump Sump Pump even ensures the basement will stay dry during power outages.
Interior Discharge Line
Water is pumped out of the home through a discharge line. The discharge line stems from the sump pump and is configured along the foundation wall. We then cored the discharge line through the foundation wall to the exterior of the home for safe water removal.
Preventing Frozen Discharge Lines
As the discharge line reaches the exterior of the home, IceGuard is installed. IceGuard ensures the discharge line can remove unwanted water from the basement despite freezing temperatures and cold weather. Without clogs being an issue, the homeowner has peace of mind that the system will not get backed up and flood the basement. The discharge line extends away from the home to disperse water safely.
