Basement Seepage
This photo highlights the vulnerability of the stored items in the basement, evidenced by the water infiltration markings on the floor. The homeowner required a durable solution to ensure the basement remained dry.
Basement Drainage System
The crew began the project by chipping out concrete along the basement's perimeter to install the WaterGuard drainage system. This system is placed within crushed stone, capturing water before it enters the basement and directing it to the sump pump for removal from the home.
Basement Drainage Flood Testing and Completed Installation
After installing the WaterGuard drainage system, it is flood tested to ensure proper water flow to the sump pump's basin. Once the test is successful, the system is concreted in place. The concrete is laid level to grade, making the system barely noticeable once it has dried.
Sump Pump with Battery Backup System
The TripleSafe Sump Pump offers three layers of protection to ensure continuous water removal from the home. It features a primary pump, a secondary pump, and a battery-powered backup system that activate based on the water level in the basin.
Discharge Line Freeze Prevention
Water is removed from the home through a discharge line, which is equipped with IceGuard. This installation prevents the system from backing up due to freezing water, thereby eliminating the risk of flooding. With IceGuard in place, you can have peace of mind knowing your basement will stay dry.
Effective Discharge Line Drainage
The SoakAway was installed at the end of the discharge line to ensure efficient water drainage into the soil, thereby preventing surface pooling on the lawn.
Discharge Line Burial
The discharge line is then buried to preserve the aesthetic appeal of the lawn.
