The basement support posts were failing, leading to sagging and uneven floors above. To ensure permanent stabilization, a more durable and robust solution was required.
Failing Sump Pump
The existing sump pump in the basement was insufficient in fully capturing water, leaving the area vulnerable to leaks and flooding.
SmartJack Footing Excavation
The crew commenced the project by chipping out concrete and excavating soil in designated locations to create footings for our SmartJack system. After excavation, these areas were reinforced with crushed stone and rebar, followed by the pouring of concrete to ensure a solid foundation.
SmartJack Footings
Once the footings had cured, the SmartJacks were positioned on top of them and secured to the main beam and joists. The SmartJack system is fully adjustable, enabling precise installation to effectively stabilize the floors above the basement.
SmartJacks Cemented into Foundation
To enhance support, the SmartJacks were cemented into the foundation. They were then adjusted to lift and level the floors back to their original intended position. This intervention immediately resolved the issue of sagging and uneven floors, ensuring the homeowner no longer has to worry about walking on bouncy surfaces.
WaterGuard Perimeter Drainage
We installed our WaterGuard perimeter drainage system along the entire basement perimeter. This system intercepts water before it enters the basement space and channels it to the sump pump for efficient removal from the home.
TripleSafe Sump Pump with Battery Backup Pump
The TripleSafe Sump Pump system is an optimal solution for managing high water volumes. It comprises a primary pump, a secondary pump, and a battery-powered backup pump, ensuring continuous operation even during power outages. Water is efficiently removed from the home through a discharge line, which is routed out of the basement to a safe location away from the home.
