Old Sump Pump
The previous sump pump was insufficient to handle the substantial influx of water seeping into the basement from the surrounding saturated soil. This inadequacy resulted in mold proliferation and a persistently humid basement environment, jeopardizing stored items and increasing the risk of damage.
TripleSafe Sump Pump and SaniDry XP
We replaced the failing system with our TripleSafe Sump Pump System. The TripleSafe Sump Pump System offers three tiers of protection for your basement and peace of mind. Under normal conditions, it utilizes a robust, cast-iron Zoeller 1/3 horsepower sump pump positioned at the lowest level. For handling heavy water volumes or in the event of primary pump failure, a second, more powerful Zoeller 1/2 horsepower pump, situated slightly higher in the liner, will assume operation. In the case of a power outage, the UltraSump battery backup sump pump, located at the highest level, is capable of pumping over 11,500 gallons on a fully charged battery. The SaniDry XP was installed to effectively reduce basement humidity, thereby preventing mold growth and safeguarding stored items.
IceGuard
Water is expelled from the home via discharge lines that exit through the home's siding. On the exterior, IceGuard was installed on the discharge line to ensure continuous water flow, preventing system backups and basement flooding, even during freezing temperatures.
Bubbler Pot
A bubbler pot was installed at the terminus of the discharge line to enhance water drainage back into the soil, away from the home. The discharge line was subsequently buried to maintain the lawn's aesthetic appeal.
Aspen Air Purification System
The Aspen Air Purification System was also installed in the basement. This system effectively removes pollutants such as dust, pollen, and mold spores, while also eliminating odors.
