Sump Pump Filled with Clay
The previous sump pump in the home became clogged with iron ochre, impairing its functionality and preventing it from operating effectively. Consequently, the basement was left vulnerable to leaks and flooding.
SuperSump Set in Crushed Stone
Our team removed the old sump pump and installed a Zoeller 1/3 horsepower pump within a sealed liner, which was placed in a bed of crushed stone. This system is engineered to manage substantial water influx, and the combination of the sealed liner and crushed stone helps prevent iron ochre from clogging the system. While iron ochre remains present in the water, our annual maintenance program ensures the sump pump continues to operate in optimal condition.
Sump Pump Cemented into Foundation
The sump pump is then cemented into the foundation floor of the basement.
IceGuard
Water is expelled from the basement via a discharge line. IceGuard is installed on the discharge line to prevent potential clogs caused by ice buildup during freezing temperatures, thereby averting system backups and basement flooding.
Bubbler Pot
A bubbler pot was installed at the terminus of the discharge line to enhance soil drainage. Following the installation of the bubbler pot, the discharge line was buried to maintain the aesthetic appeal of the lawn.
