Flooded Basement
A basement utilized for storage was inundated with two inches of water, posing a risk of damage to personal belongings and utilities.
WaterGuard Interior Basement Drainage System
Concrete along the basement perimeter was chipped away to facilitate the installation of WaterGuard. This interior drainage system was positioned atop the foundation footing to intercept water from the surrounding wet soils, preventing it from infiltrating the basement space.
WaterGuard Concreted into Foundation
The WaterGuard system is engineered to channel the collected water to the sump pump system. Following a flood test to verify the proper water flow, the system is then embedded into the foundation with cement, ensuring a seamless appearance.
TrenchDrain Surface Drainage System
TrenchDrain, a variant of WaterGuard, serves as a surface drainage system in areas where standard WaterGuard installation is impractical. In this instance, TrenchDrain was employed to collect water at the entrance of the bulkhead steps. It seamlessly integrates with WaterGuard, forming a unified pathway for water to be directed to the sump pump system.
TrenchDrain Concreted Into Foundation
Like the WaterGuard system, TrenchDrain is embedded into the foundation with cement upon successful installation.
Surface Drainage Around Utilities
TrenchDrain was also employed to redirect water around immovable basement objects, such as this oil tank.
TripleSafe Sump Pump System
Water from the WaterGuard system is directed into the TripleSafe Sump Pump's liner. As the basin fills, a trio of pumps-comprising a primary, secondary, and battery-operated backup pump-activate sequentially to ensure efficient water removal from the home. This three-pump system provides comprehensive coverage during heavy rains, snowmelt, and power outages.
IceGuard Discharge Line Freeze Prevention
Water is expelled from the home via a discharge line. IceGuard is installed on the exterior segment of the discharge line to ensure free water flow in the event of blockages caused by freezing temperatures. This additional safeguard helps prevent basement leaks or floods due to a backed-up system.
Bubbler Pot Enhanced Soil Drainage
A bubbler pot was installed at the terminus of the discharge line to facilitate better drainage of expelled water into the soil, thereby preventing soggy and flooded lawns. The discharge line is subsequently buried. Our crews take great pride in preserving the integrity of the lawn throughout this process.
