Failing Sump Pump
The previously installed sump pump system failed to effectively capture and discharge incoming water, particularly during periods of elevated groundwater or precipitation. This deficiency led to water intrusion in the basement, placing stored belongings at risk and creating conditions favorable for mold development. The lack of reliable water evacuation underscored the need for a more advanced and dependable sump pump solution to safeguard the space.
WaterGuard
To install the WaterGuard® interior drainage system, the crew carefully removed a section of concrete along the basement's interior perimeter. The system was then positioned atop the foundation footing and embedded in a bed of clean crushed stone to promote optimal water flow. WaterGuard is engineered to intercept groundwater and wall seepage before it enters the basement living space, channeling it directly to the sump pump system for efficient removal. Once the system was flood-tested to verify performance, the concrete floor was restored, leaving a clean and functional finish.
CleanSpace
CleanSpace® was installed along the interior foundation walls to capture wall seepage and direct it into the WaterGuard® drainage system. This vapor barrier not only isolates the basement from moisture intrusion but also integrates with the perimeter drainage system to ensure that any water entering through the walls is efficiently collected and routed to the sump pump for removal. This coordinated solution enhances moisture control and contributes to a healthier, more resilient basement environment.
TripleSafe Sump Pump
The TripleSafe® Sump Pump System is an advanced basement waterproofing solution engineered for maximum reliability. It features a three-pump configuration: a primary pump for standard operation, a secondary pump for high-volume water intrusion or primary failure, and a battery-powered backup pump to ensure continued protection during power outages. Integrated with the WaterGuard® interior drainage system, water is efficiently channeled into the sump basin, where the pumps activate in sequence based on demand. This layered approach ensures continuous and dependable basement water removal under all conditions.
IceGuard
Water is discharged from the home through a dedicated discharge line, which exits through the exterior siding. At this point, the IceGuard® Discharge Line Protection System is installed. IceGuard functions as a critical failsafe, allowing water to escape even if the discharge line becomes frozen or obstructed. This added layer of protection ensures that the sump system continues to operate effectively, preventing potential basement flooding due to discharge line backups.
LawnSpace
The discharge line was strategically installed in a location that slopes downward and away from the foundation to promote proper drainage and prevent water from re-entering the home. At the termination point of the line, a LawnScape™ Outlet was installed. This outlet is designed to efficiently disperse water away from the property while maintaining a discreet, low-profile appearance in the landscape. Together, these features enhance the overall performance and reliability of the sump pump discharge system.
