Leaking Bulkhead
Water infiltration occurred through the bulkhead entry point, compromising the integrity of the finished basement and placing interior walls and stored belongings at risk of moisture-related damage.
Bulkhead Door Replacement
Our installation team removed the compromised bulkhead door and replaced it with a high-performance, leak-resistant unit designed to prevent future water intrusion and protect the finished basement.
Basement Drainage System
To mitigate water intrusion, our TrenchDrain surface drainage system was installed at the bulkhead entrance to intercept and redirect runoff before it could reach the basement. Additionally, our WaterGuard interior perimeter drainage system was placed along the foundation wall to capture any seepage. Both systems channel collected water efficiently to a sump pump for safe removal, ensuring a dry and protected basement environment.
TripleSafe Sump Pump System
The TripleSafe Sump Pump System integrates three distinct pumps to ensure comprehensive water management: a primary pump for routine groundwater removal, a secondary pump for high-volume conditions such as heavy rainfall or snowmelt, and a battery-powered backup pump to maintain operation during power outages. This multi-tiered configuration delivers maximum reliability and protection against basement flooding.
IceGuard
Water discharged from the sump pump is routed through an exterior discharge line. To safeguard against potential freezing or clogging, an IceGuardĀ® anti-freeze device is installed at the exterior termination point. This fail-safe mechanism ensures continuous drainage and prevents system backup or overflow during adverse conditions.
Bubbler Pot
A bubbler pot was installed at the termination point of the discharge line to promote subsurface dispersion of water, minimizing surface pooling and erosion. To maintain the lawn's visual appeal and prevent tripping hazards, the discharge line was buried beneath the landscape.
