Wet Basement
Water intrusion through the foundation wall led to pooling on the basement floor. Persistent leaks rendered the space unsuitable for storage and created conditions conducive to mold growth and wood rot due to elevated humidity levels.
WaterGuard Drainage System
To address the leakage, we removed concrete along the affected basement wall and installed our WaterGuard® perimeter drainage system. Positioned on top of the footing, WaterGuard® intercepts water at its entry point before it reaches the basement interior. The system then channels the collected water directly to the sump pump liner for efficient removal, ensuring a dry and protected space.
TrenchDrain Surface Drainage
To manage water near the basement's oil tank, we installed a TrenchDrain system designed to redirect surface water effectively. This system integrates seamlessly with WaterGuard®, creating a unified drainage path that channels water directly to the sump pump for removal. In addition to rerouting water, TrenchDrain also captures water from the basement floor surface, providing comprehensive protection against moisture intrusion.
TripleSafe Sump Pump System
The TripleSafe® Sump Pump system is engineered for maximum reliability, featuring a three-pump configuration to handle varying water intrusion scenarios. The primary pump manages standard water removal, while a high-capacity secondary pump activates during heavy influxes caused by events like storms or snowmelt. For added protection, a battery-powered backup pump engages during power outages or primary pump failure. This layered design ensures continuous, dependable defense against basement flooding.
Drainage Systems Cemented into Foundation
After performing a flood test to verify proper drainage and water removal, the WaterGuard® and TrenchDrain systems are permanently integrated into the foundation floor. They are finished flush with the grade, creating a clean, unobtrusive appearance while maintaining full functionality.
TripleSafe Sump Pump Cemented into Foundation
The TripleSafe® Sump Pump system is securely set into the foundation and finished flush with the floor. This installation ensures stability, a clean appearance, and optimal integration with the basement waterproofing system for long-term performance.
Discharge Line Freeze Prevention
Water is discharged from the basement through a dedicated line. At the point where the discharge exits the home, an IceGuard® anti-freeze device is installed. This failsafe allows water to escape even if the discharge line becomes blocked by ice during freezing temperatures, preventing backups and sump pump overflow. By ensuring uninterrupted water removal, IceGuard® provides an additional layer of protection to keep the basement dry year-round.
LawnScape
A LawnScape® outlet is installed at the end of the discharge line to ensure efficient drainage into the surrounding soil. The discharge line is strategically placed on a downward slope away from the home to prevent water from returning toward the foundation. Once installed, the line is buried to maintain the lawn's appearance while providing reliable water management.
SaniDry XP Basement Dehumidifier
The SaniDry™ XP is a high-performance dehumidification system designed to effectively control basement humidity. Collected moisture is automatically directed into the sump liner, creating a fully integrated, maintenance-free drainage solution that helps maintain a dry, healthy environment.
