Wet Finished Basement
This doorway marks the transition between the finished and unfinished sections of the basement. Evidence of water intrusion has compromised the flooring in this area, creating conditions conducive to mold growth beneath the finished surface. Additionally, the lower portions of the drywall have sustained damage as a result of prolonged moisture exposure.
Drywall Removal
The lower section of drywall was removed to provide access for the installation of our WaterGuard® perimeter drainage system, ensuring proper integration with the foundation and facilitating effective water management.
WaterGuard Drainage System
WaterGuard® was installed along the entire basement perimeter, encompassing both finished and unfinished sections. Installation required removing a strip of concrete along the perimeter to position the system directly on top of the footing. The drainage channel was then surrounded with clean, crushed stone to promote optimal water flow. WaterGuard® intercepts groundwater before it reaches the basement floor and directs it to the sump pump for removal. Once in place, the system is permanently sealed with concrete, resulting in a clean, low-profile finish that blends seamlessly with the existing floor.
TrenchDrain Surface Drainage System
A TrenchDrain® system was installed to effectively redirect surface water around immovable basement utilities. This linear drainage solution integrates seamlessly with the WaterGuard® perimeter system, creating a unified and efficient pathway that channels water directly to the sump pump for removal.
TripleSafe Sump Pump System
The TripleSafe® Sump Pump System incorporates a three-pump configuration consisting of a primary pump, a secondary pump for high-volume or backup operation, and a battery-powered pump to maintain protection during power outages. As water enters the sump liner, the pumps engage in sequence to ensure continuous and efficient removal of water from the basement. Discharge is routed through a dedicated line that directs water safely away from the foundation, reducing the risk of re-entry and maintaining a dry environment.
SaniDry XP Dehumidifier
The SaniDry™ XP Dehumidifier was ducted into the finished portion of the basement to maintain controlled humidity levels and improve overall air quality. Collected moisture is automatically discharged from the home via an integrated condensate pump, providing a continuous, maintenance-free solution for moisture management.
Names in Concrete
Following completion of the installation, the homeowner's grandchildren personalized the newly poured concrete by inscribing their names, adding a unique and memorable touch to the finished work.
