Finished Basement Water Damage
The finished basement had been compromised as a result of active foundation water intrusion. As shown in the photo, moisture accumulated beneath the finished flooring system, saturating the subfloor and creating damage. Due to the extent of the water seepage, the flooring required removal, and the remaining finished areas of the basement were at significant risk for additional deterioration if the underlying issue was not addressed.
WaterGuard Basement Drainage System
Prior to installation, the damaged finished flooring was fully removed to expose the underlying slab. Our team then excavated a narrow trench along the interior perimeter of the basement floor to install the WaterGuard® sub‑floor drainage system. This engineered drainage channel is designed to intercept groundwater at the cove joint-before it can reach the basement floor surface. Once installed, WaterGuard® efficiently directs collected water to the sump pump system for discreet and reliable removal, ensuring long‑term moisture management and protection of the finished space.
TrenchDrain Basement Surface Drainage
Certain sections of the basement could not accommodate the WaterGuard® system due to fixed mechanical equipment and immovable utilities, as shown in the photo. In these areas, our team installed the TrenchDrain™ surface drainage system to effectively channel water around these obstructions. This solution not only diverts moisture away from sensitive utility zones but also captures water directly from the basement floor surface, ensuring continuous and reliable drainage where sub‑floor systems cannot be installed.
Trimple Safe Sump Pump System
The TripleSafe® Sump Pump System utilizes a three‑pump configuration designed to respond to varying groundwater conditions as water is discharged into the sump liner from the WaterGuard® drainage system. The primary pump manages typical daily water volumes, while the secondary, higher‑capacity pump automatically activates during elevated inflow events such as heavy rains or rapid snowmelt. A third, battery‑powered backup pump engages in the event of a power outage, primary pump failure, or extreme demand that exceeds the first two pumps' capacities. This tiered, redundant design ensures continuous, reliable water removal and provides maximum protection for the home under all operating conditions.
SaniDry XD Basement Dehumidifier
The SaniDry™ XP Dehumidifier is engineered to maintain optimal humidity levels throughout the expansive finished basement, ensuring long‑term control of moisture and preventing conditions conducive to mold growth or material deterioration. The unit is equipped with an integrated condensate pump, enabling fully automatic drainage of collected moisture. This setup eliminates the need for the homeowner to manually empty a reservoir, providing continuous, maintenance‑free operation and consistent environmental protection.
