Basement Before Waterproofing
Although the basement appeared dry, several areas were experiencing recurring water intrusion during heavy rain. Moisture that becomes trapped behind drywall and beneath finished flooring can quickly lead to mold growth, resulting in musty odors and an unhealthy indoor environment. Over time, ongoing seepage can damage stored belongings, compromise building materials, and lead to significantly more extensive-and costly-repairs if left unaddressed.
Basement Drainage System
To install our WaterGuard® interior drainage system, we removed the lower section of drywall and the concrete perimeter at the base of the foundation walls. The WaterGuard system is engineered to intercept groundwater at the cove joint-before it reaches the interior living space-and direct it into a dedicated drainage channel. From there, the water is efficiently routed to the sump pump system, where it is safely discharged away from the home. This creates a controlled path for water management while protecting finished materials from future moisture damage.
Basement Surface Drainage System
TrenchDrain™ was installed across the doorway to capture surface water in an area where WaterGuard® cannot be placed. Designed for high‑traffic entry points, the TrenchDrain system intercepts water at floor level and directs it into the WaterGuard drainage channel. By integrating both systems, all collected water is routed along a unified path to the sump pump system, ensuring consistent and reliable drainage throughout the basement.
TripleSafe Sump Pump
The TripleSafe® Sump Pump System incorporates three pumps that activate automatically based on the volume of water entering the sump basin. The system includes a primary pump designed for everyday water removal, a more powerful secondary pump that engages during periods of heavy rainfall or rapid snowmelt, and an ultra‑reliable battery backup pump that maintains operation in the event of a power outage or mechanical failure. Together, these components provide layered protection to ensure continuous, high‑capacity drainage under all conditions.
IceGuard
IceGuard® was installed on the sump pump discharge line to provide a failsafe outlet for water in the event that the exterior discharge pipe becomes blocked or frozen. This specialized fitting allows pressurized water to escape through its built‑in release ports, preventing backups, protecting the sump system from overflow, and ensuring continuous operation even under severe winter conditions.
Bubbler Pot
A bubbler pot was installed at the termination point of the discharge line to disperse water safely underground and prevent surface pooling on the lawn. The discharge line was then fully buried, both to protect it from environmental exposure and to maintain the property's landscaping aesthetics. This setup ensures efficient water dispersal while preserving the functionality and visual appeal of the yard.
